Uber Thai Newcastle, a new branch from the popular inner Sydney eatery, has set up right in the thick of the action on Beaumont Street to bring modern Thai street food to curious Newcastle customers. Uber Thai dishes up superb lunch and dinner options six days a week, with little fuss but a whole lot of class. Their Thai classics are very solid, from fish cakes to massaman and pad Thai, but for something you’re really unlikely to find elsewhere go for the pork neck skewers with an especially addictive sauce, the pad prik king rice stir-fry with caramelised pork belly, or some eyebrow-raising glutinous coconut balls served warm with lychee sorbet for a unique dessert.
