Food was pricey but fresh and great quality. The seafood is presented beautifully and tastes fantastic, worth the price tag for occasions and celebrations. We were recommended the seasonal Tasmanian Bay of Fire Sea Urchin and it was definitely our favourite! Darker in colour, stronger in flavour but still creamy and melting in your mouth. The things that brought down our rating of The Roe is the decor doesn’t match the price tag, such as the “mermaid curtains” lining one wall cheapens the atmosphere a bit. The staff could also receive a bit more training, food is coming out of order, some mains arriving before entrees and hot food being served before cold. Some staff were fantastic and would introduce the dish while placing it down but some were silent until prompted and then were a bit confused and unable to answer questions. Overall, we would definitely return for the food, but probably special occasions only.

This is the second time order cake. Taste is good.

Foods were delicious however the service was not. I felt like I paid premium price for fast food service. It was my first time there ,as soon seated satff just said " scan QR code to order" which was fine. However the next table (western customers) your staff member provided great service by asking "it is your first time?" then went on explaining the menus etc. Why should there be such difference in the services? Secondly we haven't even finished our mains, staff just left the desserts on table without explaining what they are? Your IG, Tiktoc and stories behind The Roe are wonderful. Thank you for creating the unique restaurant for sea urchin food lover. I would suggest you to look at retraining your staff and reposition your marketing strategy. Thanks

the head waitress will need to improve her english communication a lot more, if she is to help make the patrons happy or if she is to help sell more products. It is hard to speak English when you from a non english speaking culture, and this is why I am providing this ffedback.

Good foods and good service. Especially the hotpot soup was very yummy and tasty

The food was OK, felt a bit costly. However, Due to their misunderstanding my booking time, I was told that my reservation was cancelled because I didn't show up on time. Second, I could not have what I wanted because the salmon caviar was not available even it was Friday night. I felt a bit wired their customer service.

Such an experience, it was a very different vibe to your usual everyday dining but it's something everyone needs to try out at least once. Food was amazing, albeit can be a tad pricey. Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff. Great service!

A very unique experience indeed. I really liked the sea urchin gallery as you walk into the main dining area. The service was excellent. They even sang happy birthday for my partner. However it was a bit on the pricier side but overall a memorable experience.
