Walters River Café

We had breakfast -9am booking. I had to get up and get the waiters attend to take our coffee order. It took ages to get our coffee. Breakfast meal itself was very ordinary for the price paid. We definitely won't return.

The table service was very friendly and efficient. The food we ordered arrived on our table within respectable time frame. The food itself was very enjoyable, each item was well prepared and presented. Thank you Walters River Cafe for a great lunch with wonderful view onto the Swan River.

1st time visit & found service great staff friendly Food good but obviously premises need a decent cleanup all through.

Beautiful surroundings, but the verandah seating areas have EXTREMELY LOUD overhead air circulation machines. Since they are not air conditioners, it would be far better if they were simply turned off. The wait-persons were very pleasant but there were only two of them - they could not keep up, so very slow service. The food was good. Will go again on cold days when those fans are OFF!

Very good, so much so I have booked another event.

The food and coffee were delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating but online booking was very disappointing as we were not on their booking list when we got there.

Nice food at lunchtime. Although it was spoilt by the heat. I requested a table inside and presumed it would be air conditioned as it was a hot day. They had air conditioning at the back of the room, unfortunately it didn’t reach our table at the front.

Have been coming here for years however sadly the service has really dropped. It's not the staff themselves working there, there just isn't enough staff on to cater for the bookings and walk ins. Waited 30mins for a coffee and then another 30mins for 3 meals to come out.

Food was really nice. Would recommend going for breakfast. Nice view of river.

One ladies meal was forgotten, the water was warm. Table was not clearerd before sweets were served.

We had dined there before. Then, the food was quite good. This time, collectively considered by for all 4 of us, the food was poor. We will not return

A very pleasurable experience, glad we sat inside as it may have been too warm in the outer area,. Very generous size servings . Excellent value for money. The staff were pleasant and attentive.

Enjoyed the lunch, food was tasty and well prepared. Only thing was our orders were not served all together hence some of us started and there was a long time until the others were served. We prefer to have all the meals brought out at the same time.

The staff were fantastic and the food was amazing. We will be back again. Our table was located as requested through the booking app. 👌 The only comment for improvement I would make is that the batter on the fish tastes delicious but was far too thick and heavy 🤔😃

I took the senior group outing to the Point Walter on Friday 22/11/24 and had lunch at River Cafe, everyone loved it, loved the food and coffee Then I came back With my husband on Sunday 24/11/24 to have lunch, we had fish and chips, and followed by coffee The food was very good, coffee was excellent, service was great I am sure we will come back again soon with friends and family Thank you Kim & Ron

Venue has a fabulous outlook over the river. Perfect spot for a lazy lunch. Staff were lovely. Friendly, attentive and helpful, and the food we chose from a reasonably extensive menu was lovely. Will definately be going back.

We added 4 guests (surprise visit by interstate family) - so there were 13. The staff were very friendly and obliging. One meal came out much later than the others. However, overall, we had a very enjoyable breakfast.

Fantastic ala carte breakfast to celebrate . Mothers Day. Our food was delicious, the Mushroom Bruschetta a winner, the beetroot relish was amazing - they should bottle and sell it, delish. The staff are lovely, very attentive on such a busy day. Highly recommend.

Our Sunday arvo on the shore was beautiful. It was a great spot with lovely ambience. We'd come for a birthday celebration. The staff were excellent and gave us so much help with the cake/lighting candles, spare plates, taking multiple arrangements of photos. The food was pretty decent.

Service and food were the best !! We were a table of 6 and all meals arrived together, hot, presentation was brilliant and the big breakfast was the best I have ever eaten. Absolutely first class. Minor complaint, quite noisy but appeared to be just one woman !! Would not stop me from visiting again.

Have been here a few times and always the best coffee and meals and never feel rushed out of the restaurant. We’ll be back

Lovely position, coffee good but had 3 of our 4 coffee's served and took 3 further requests to staff to have the 4th delivered. Overall enjoyable.
