In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. Serving the good people of Melbourne’s Richmond with quality food and refreshment from early in the morning to well past your bedtime, Academy Kitchen & Bar is a catch-all for all your culinary cravings. Opening up its Bridge Road premises at 7am during the week, Academy offers a fine selection of bakery goods, sweet and savoury breakfast staples, before rolling over into lunch. There, we’re talking typically modern Australian – a blend of Pacific Rim, Asian, and European colonial influences – a classic cheeseburger, The Richmond Reuben sandwich, chilli caramel duck ribs, and crispy pigs’ ears and kohlrabi lettuce wraps with hot sauce. For dinner the sesame-crusted salmon with Asian slaw, ruby grapefruit and ponzu or the goats’ cheese tortellini with ratatouille and tomato bubbles are particular highlights. Hedged by a fearsomely good bar packed with old world and Australasian wines, some very crafty beers and ciders, Academy is a lesson in good gastronomy.
