Albi's Taverna

Wonderful service with the waiters going above and beyond and the food was good.

Albi’s Taverna has delicious food, great service and an awesome atmosphere. We absolutely loved the set menu degustation and left completely stuffed! BYO wine as an option too which makes it even better.

By coincidence, I ended up here again a week after my first visit. This visit was the first one I booked, however a night out last week when Albi's was the only place available at the last minute meant that I was visiting again in a week. We had some issues with service the first visit, but I was hoping that it was just a bad night and this visit would be better. Unfortunately it appears that long waits between meals are standard at Albi's. My friend and I ordered to entrees and two mains to share, plus a cocktail each. The entrees came out quickly and were delicious. Serving sizes were generous and the calamari was well cooked and seasoned. We had ordered two pasta dishes for mains - after waiting over 40 minutes (by this time it after 9.30) the waiter finally came over and told us that the dishes would be out soon. 10 minutes later they arrived, and they also gave us a complimentary olive plate. I found the pastas were both over salted and didn't really enjoy the flavour of either. After such a long wait it was a disappointment. When we came to pay my friend asked about the delay, it turns out they had given our meals to another table. Overall it was an average night. I've given it two chances now, and both times been disappointed by some aspects so unfortunately I don't think I'll be back.

We enjoyed the tasty food; the staff were attentive. That together with a pleasant atmosphere contributed to an overall nice experience. We will definitely come back.

Friendly service and staff were reasonably attentive, although a little slow and chaotic at times. Food good but lacked wow factor. Two people I dined with had fish which they liked . I ate the lamb fettuccine which lacked flavour and was very sweet. My partner had the lamb shoulder which he enjoyed although again, thought the sauce reduction had a little too much vinegar which made for another sweet sauce.

Food was nice however service was a bit hit and miss. We had the tasting menu (paid full price, not the groupon offer) and the first few courses came out so quickly one after another we didn’t have time to take a breath. Later courses were a lot slower and we had to follow up the dessert as it was over 1/2 hour since our last course. The waiter came and apologised and offered us orancello on the house but I’m pretty sure that was part of the tasting menu anyway. Would have also been nicer if we had one consistent waiter throughout the night who could spend a bit more time explaining each item we were served.

The awesome flavours of the pork belly and the lamb shoulder were incredible. The staff explained the menu and the service was wonderful. Will definitely go back

We were looked after very well by the excellent staff and enjoyed a delicious meal and good Italian wine. We look forward to dining again at Albi's Taverna.

Service friendly and efficient, food crab pasta tasteless and tough pasta scallops very small serve, very average nice touch husbands birthday they surprised us with candle on a complimentary desert

Had an absolutly fantastic time. Top quality meals, delicious beers and outstanding service. Even threw in a few bonus drinks and deserts. Authentic Italian meal and atmosphere

Excellent food. We had risotto & gnocchi for main which were both delicious, along with the tastiest rocket salad. Very friendly staff. We will definitely be back

Lovely food, and better than anything we've had in similar restaurants great service and a peaceful atmosphere so we could talk and listen. Nice surprises like a sorbet and orange celo to finish. We also lucked out with a car park right outside which is very unusual for Cronulla.

The food was presented beautifully and was very tasty. A lovely setting if you wanted to impress someone special, but ask to sit indoors. Outdoors is a little more casual. The staff are very attentive.

Spacious setting didn’t feel overcrowded. Wait staff were friendly and very personable. Entree and mains were very well presented and food quality was a high standard. Local beer options were limited. Imported beers expensive, but very good. If price is not an option, I can highly recommend, we will return.

Surprisingly very good food which is so unusual in Cronulla. Please keep it up. We need restaurants like that in Cronulla. Will definitely be back.

Very tasty food, and a nice atmosphere. We did the set menu and it left us all nicely full. It was quite rich food, so only order that option if you enjoy lots of cheeses.

Degustation was nice but tiny portions! Also 1 dessert to share!?! And they chose crem brûlée as a shared dessert.... not the wisest choice. In degustation everyone should get their own dessert!

I was there on Saturday with a group of girls had the set menu, yum, just enough for girls. Thursday night our family of 10 went, advised my boys you will still be hungry if set menu so we ordered lots of dishes to share, come on we had to order so many because even the main servings are small, you need to maybe get pizza on the menu as well. One of my boys was so hungry he walked to Aportos for a burger in between many plates of food coming out. Advise if you want to stay open- bigger servings and put pizza on the menu.

Excellent service, atmosphere and food! 10/10 will be coming back and rolling out after the tasting experience. They were very accomodating even with my food allergy to shellfish which was a quarter of the menu, not just removing that food but coming up with inventive way to replace what I couldn't not eat it was delicious!

This restaurant has the most welcoming staff I have ever come across and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. Lastly, but not least, the food was superb and beautifully presented.

Great ambience and service was first class. Setting and feel is perfect for evenings out and it’s homely and easy. Food is first class although the advertised menu online that boasts it covers the Albis table menu was not correct

My girlfriend and I had a very pleasant experience at Albi's Taverna. It was our first time there. We enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. we would definitely go back.

Food was delicious and so much food. We went for the $49 sharing menu and there was 7 of us. There was heaps of food and everyone was very impressed about the quality and freshness of the food. Will be back again for sure!!!!
