More about Amigos Acland, St Kilda

Founded way back in 1981, the Amigos family of restaurants have become synonymous with incredible Mexican cuisine in Melbourne. The spacious and comfortable outlet on St Kilda’s Acland Street is a joy to visit, and features vibrant colours and comfortable seating throughout. The restaurant also offers a fabulous selection of beers, liquors, wine and cocktails – and you definitely can’t go wrong with one of the amazing margaritas!

In-the-know diners understand that a good dinner at Amigos on Melbourne’s Acland Street should begin with an order (or two) of corn chips and dips like chilli con queso, guacamole, or pico de gallo. Mains include tasty Mexican options like shredded beef tacos, grilled chicken nachos, porterhouse beef fajitas and chilli con carne burritos. There are numerous meat-free options as well, including spinach and potato enchiladas, vegetable burritos and tacos with frijoles (beans). Dessert means it’s time to chow down on a sizzling brownie with chocolate, Kahlua sauce and vanilla ice cream, or the deliciously rich flan de queso. Don’t forget to book ahead when planning to visit this St Kilda Mexican restaurant!

Wonderful dining experience from start to finish. Great environment, music, and service. The food was worth every penny and more!! The flavours were true to life...if they could jump off the plate and dance in spectacular muliti-coloured switls of light, this would most certainly have been a sight!! Ordered nachos with chicken and beef to start then a main of seafood burrito, my partner in dine ordered a beef burrito...delicioso!! We also tried the white and red sangrias and my absolute favourite now, mulled wine, perfect on a cool night. Garranteed to warm even your tiny pinky! Thank you Maria Jose and Denise, together with your wonderful bartender and manager, we have left amigos dancing for joy! Tati x
