Right in the heart of Malvern – one of our favourite Melbourne suburbs for food – Ayame Japanese Restaurant is uncluttered and knows exactly what it’s about. The main menu features all sorts of sushi and sashimi as well as tempura and Japanese-style mains like the Ayame fye fillet steak with miso mayo. There’s also a chef’s specials menu that features Japanese tapas and indulgent Ayame bowls. You’ll find Ayame Japanese Restaurant on Glenferrie Road where it’s certainly wise to head with an advance reservation – Malvern Japanese restaurants as good as Ayame tend to fill up fast.
