Bensons is a great local gem and worth travelling to. Great food, reasonable prices, excellent house wines and stunning service. The tapas menu is highly recommended.

Great tapas, a variety, good atmosphere, friendly staff, nice paella

The food was fantastic. We ordered 5 different tapas and dessert. Everything tasted amazing. The staff were very friendly and the service was very quick. Would definitely go here again.

Every dish in our 7 course tapas dinner was delicious. Even the house Pinot (Mr Wolf) was great. This restaurant exceeded our expectations and we will be back. Highly recommend.

Had a scoopon breakfast voucher. The waiter who greeted us was not very friendly and did not make us feel welcome. Once seated he asked us if we wanted a juice. We asked if we could have coffee instead. He said that was not part of the scoopon deal but he could substitute the juice for coffee. I rechecked the deal on line and it quite clearly stated that the deal was for brakfast for two with coffee or tea. We had the vegetarian brakfast which they kindly changed the poached for scrambled. Was average. Toast was not included. Coffee was very good. Although the waiter's attitude improved, we will not be going again. We felt awkward and uncomfortable for having the scoopon voucher. If a business does want people to use these vouchers, don't offer them.

Cosy atmosphere but food was dissapointing. Cheese balls were cold inside. I expected the pulled pork to be tender and full of flavour but instead it was stringy and hard .

Staff really weren't on the ball and they took quite some time to work out our booking. We were quite confused in the end. We opted for selecting entres and mains and although the food was tasty maybe if we went again we would choose the tapas menu.

Benson's has some of the best food (Tapas) in Melbourne and has remained undiscovered. You can always get a table, the service is outstanding and the food is worth the money. Moderately expensive, the house wine is good value. And the rest of the menu contains great combinations and choice ingredients. Go before the crowds discover this place.

We had been for lunch and coffee several times so met friends for a casual dinner we all enjoyed the food and it was humming with almost every table occupied. Great to see!

Very tasty food and well presented. Worth a visit. Bensons have delicious tasting food, service is great with staff friendly and accommodating. We had a terrific lunch.

The Vegetarian Breakfast was full of Flavour, The Pumpkin was divine as were the Zucchini fritters. Planning on going back to try some Tapas with friends

This was the best evening of food and wine e have had for many years. The atmosphere was great and the staff provide excellent service. We cannot wait to return 100/100.

Food were amazing vine is perfect ,staff are very friendly we had private room even. But customer should be warn.We had 4 people they could have choice of 3 tapas ,portion not too big so we had to order more food and had to pay extra .Some customer are relaying on vouchers only and customers should be warn . So it's not a big difference between voucher and normal price .However in general price is moderate not expensive . I would recommend to my friends to visit Benson on Martin and tell them about all this . Thank you Maya

Bensons has a really nice setting, the service is outstanding, and the food is amazing. All food came out promptly and we were giving a free salad with our meal to make up for our starters that didn't come out in the order which we said them, which was no bother at all. Great restaurant.

Service was good. However the quantity of food offered was disappointing. The Groupon voucher for tapas, that was supposedly a huge discount was deceptive. Add the value of the food offered and discover it did not match the value suggested.

Delicious food at very reasonable prices. Good variety of dishes to choose from. Reasonable priced drinks. Lovely ambience and attentive service. Will definitely be back!

Tapas was excellent , service was good - seating inside/outside and separate rooms with some areas which are nice and quiet. Would definitely go back.

Insufficient food,3 tapas for 2 for a Groupon deal! 2nd visit also had surcharge on meat dishes not stated on Groupon! Atmosphere and food very good but hungry still.

The service was terrible, it's as if they weren't attentive to Groupon patrons. This was my 4th Groupon visit and the service has been on the decline each visit. Ended up @ Sons Of Marys around the corner, great venue!

I met with my granddaughter for lunch and the staff were very attentive to my needs for a quiet area so we could chat and when she arrived, the staff member immediately identified her as my lunch partner. The food is always good here and they have healthy options which suited her and me. I have observed the staff on other occasions be most kind to people even when they are a bit bothersome so I reckon they get a gold star!

Great food, new evening menu pretty reasonable could be a bit more lighter style tapas & main meals, service reasonable I am sure that with another waiter...

The food is delicious, service is fast, great customer service. Our favorite is the seafood paella and the sticky date pudding. The salt and pepper calamari is also a must try.

we booked four people lunch. the food is flat, very normal but the dessert is nice.the staff give a warm welcome and parking is easy.

Food and service were great, however they did not have our booking when we arrived so we ended up on a table right next to the noisy kitchen. Despite this, had very good seafood and overall a very good dining experience.

While the taste was still good but the serve of Bouillabaisse was much smaller than the first time we went. Inconsistency showed. However the service was good.

Great tasting food and good service. We had the 3 course sangria and paella deal for 2 with groupon so it was great value for money.

Terrible service. We had to call the restaurant to ask for a waitress! Not to mention having to get up and ask for drinks numerous times. Won't be back.

Nice decor and very friendly prompt service staff despite us using our discount Voucher. Food was good and love the coffee creme brulee. Definitely worth a visit.

Entrees were fine, however one of the main meals was "Entrée" size serve and considered inadequate as a mains offering. Would be aware of this next time.

There were only 4 tables to serve in the entire restaurant. Service was extremely slow and they made 2 mistakes with our orders. It took a long time to bring the corrected orders. They did however not charge for one of the meals where the order was incorrect.
