Big Tree House Cafe

The atmosphere was fine , coffee ok too and the pictures were appealing but the food tasted horrible. This is very disappointing given that the basic breakfast was completely unbeatable- the breakfast was old, avocado smash was thinly spread and unappealing. There worst - the poached eggs were hard boiled and there was a hair on the tomatoes. I could not eat that. My husband had breakfast burger that had too much mayonnaise and could not eat it as well. Will not come back - I am upset to spend considerable a lot of money for breakfast we did not eat / couldn’t not eat.

Quiet location. Good coffee. Would appreciate a few gluten free options being available and identified on the menu however.

I know that they get busy but please don’t bring out poached eggs with the toast and then make me wait 10 minutes for the bacon. I had to go in and remind them too.. Also out of the 3 of us, my son was also the last to get served…waited 10 minutes after we had nearly finished - for a toastie.. I have to say I wasn’t happy with the disorganised meal planning. . I’ve booked for next week, because my friends want to - but after that I probably wont go back.

Kitchen unable to deal with a big booking ( 8 people). Took over an hour to get our food. 1 order had to be re- ordered and 1 order had to be totally refunded. Please prepare better if you know there is a large party coming to your establishment.

Its always nice food when we come here. Not a long wait for food, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Definitely happy to recommend!
