The food was nice and tasty. However, one of the waitresses (a blonde girl) was very rude with us. She almost throw to our table the dishes and every time that she came to collect plate the food on them went on the table or on our clothes. Don’t think will go back there

Visited Contrabando after visiting Vivid. The food was fantastic with an innovative menu of Mexican inspired dishes. So tasty! Excellent prices! The service was excellent. The noise levels are what you’d expect on a Saturday night in a busy restaurant.

Food was tasty, I had corn cob, fish and prawn tacos and shared slow cooked beef brisket. The wait staff was attentive and provided good service. The price for the food for dinner is on the medium to moderately high side for the quantity of food. The atmosphere was lively on Friday night and good place to have a group catch up or dinner for two (if you don’t mind a bit of noise).

I went with friends last week, so I asked my wife to come on Taco Tuesday this week for dinner. She came from quite a distance and she tried the gluten free. She was able to down 6 varieties of tacos. I could only do 5. The corn tortillas are less filling, but the flour tortillas are tastier. She enjoyed it and we'll go again. We love the fish and the pork the best, but the prawns are our 3rd favorite. Beef is 4th. Each one has its own taste with the various sauces they use on them. Terrific.

We picked a great day as a customer as it wasn't so busy. We had speedy service and it was certainly quiet enough to chat and hear one another. Love love the fish tacos at Contrabando. Could live off these alone! Will be back again.

Unfortunately the food wasn't great. Most of it was pretty bland. We got the $40 banquet and I don't eat fish and the was a fish taco on the menu and I asked if they could swap it. They said no way and suggested I get the vegetarian option. The waitors weren't polite and clearly didn't want to be there. Won't be going back

Our visit was on Tuesday for the taco specials. We arrived early - one member of our party is allergic to avocado so to ensure there was no avocado on her tacos we had to pay full price for them. We enjoyed really nice mocktails (work lunch) and our waitress for really great and apologetic about the avocado thing.

Tacos are great as always. Shame they've discontinued the Lamb taco. Service used to be bad, the servers would flat out ignore you. But during my last visit the service was much better. The servers had smiles on their faces which was the first time thats happened. If I can get served delicious tacos the same way everytime it would be great.
