About Crafternoon Brunswick
Let the kids play and the adults relax. At Crafternoon, Brunswick’s popular arts and crafts cafe on Sydney Rd, the little ones can paint, paste and play to their heart’s content, with everything provided by the cafe to help them get creative and take home something to be proud of. But it’s not just for kids here. Crafternoon serves up a staggering range of healthy, gourmet meals and organic fair trade coffee to rival Melbourne’s trendiest cafes. Feel good after a breakfast of sauteed lemon mushrooms with hazelnut dukkah, push through with smashed avocado sprinkled with goats curd and mint on nutritious multigrain bread, or give the little ones a healthy treat with classic boiled egg and vegemite soldiers. Ideal not just for kids parties but fun gatherings of all kinds, Crafternoon is popular for hens parties, corporate functions, baby showers, or a classy high tea - complete with cucumber sandwiches and jammy creamy scones.

Always awesome. The vegan crafty breakfast was great. Kids had a good time as usual and I love not having to ckean up the crafty mess.
Carfternoon is my favorite cafe. You can spend hours crafting away whilst snacking on great food and drinks. The staff are super friendly and always make me and my children feel welcome.
This is a great place with so much for the little ones to do. The staff are friendly, attentive and know how to handle kids.
For our first visit it was fantastic. We were greeted with a smile and genuine excitement from staff members. Both the floor and ceiling captivated the children as well as the adults. A great selection of food and creative art to choose from. We will be back soon to try out some more they have to offer.
We meet for mothers group, the service was great, the food was yummy. Also lots of crafts to choose from. Areas that I feel can be improved is the front shop is very tight for prams. For a business which is aimed at young families I felt like I was in trouble for brining my pram and then 3 more prams as our mothers group have since all had a second baby and thought this was a great idea to entertain our toddlers. Another area is pricing. The meals were small for the price but very nice. The crafts I also feel could be cheaper with multiple children this could be an expensive morning out. Overall I would go back however with no pram and maybe one other person. Once inside it's very comfortable however local parking restrictions limit enjoyment as the maximum we could find was 2 hours.
We had a lovely lunch and kids enjoyed themselves but on arrival we weren't explained how the cafe worked. I heard others in nearly tables be explained the menu but we were never told. I only ordered the one activity. By the time I asked about the menu and how it worked, it was too late as we had been there a long time already. Often I had to get up and ask questions as no one would come to us. I had to get my own paper because that was often forgotten after asking a couple of times when the staff dropped off food or drinks. The staff were lovely, I have no issues there, but they just weren't as attentive as I would have liked. I didn't like having to get up and ask for things and we're not fussy people.
This was my second visit and the staff are SO beautiful. They are so lovely to the kids, my 3 boys loved it here & the 3 adults managed to get a decent conversation in as the kids were occupied- in their seats! Novel for me. The food is amazing. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The food was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend Crafternoon!
Although the craft activities on offer were good, there were a few problems. We arrived to paper and tubs of pencils in the table - all of which were blunt. The children couldn't actually do any drawing despite having 30odd pencils in front of them. I asked for a pencil sharpener, but it was broken. The space is small and pokey and not really great for smaller children who like to move around a bit - if the aim Is to be really child focussed they need to spend some time thinking about layout and appropriate furniture. The coffee was good, and the food was fine. Although I would usually expect two peices of toast when you order a serving.
We had the BEST afternoon there. My little sister is special needs and the staff were beyond accommodating. They were so kind and enthusiastic and she called them her 'best friends'. She hasn't had so much fun in a very long time. Special thank you to Dirk! You made our afternoon one to remember forever :)
Crafternoon is a truly wonderful experience for all. Creative for both the children and adults and so engaging, that as an adult you can eat , drink and talk to another adult as the kids are immersed in craft! Of course, it's difficult not to also get 'hands on'. The staff are friendly, bright and warm:)
My 3 year old daughter absolutely loved Crafternoon and spent 2 very happy hours creating a fabulous collage with the pasting table. Meanwhile I got some work done on my laptop and had a great coffee. Both of us very happy! Will be back for sure.
Great idea for a cafe with pens and paper on the tables when you arrive and a craft menu offering homemade playdoh, painting on a tabletop easel or a range of pasting crafts on offer. Tasty coffee and good food. Great way to spend an hour or two
Such a great place for the children to be creative. Food options fantastic and appealing to kids as well as adults. A bit too long between change over in crafts today but other than that a great way to spend an afternoon.
Best place to hang out with my kiddikans and husband! Wonderful activities, food, coffee and vibe. Especially love the pea and feta fritters - worth coming just for these! There's fun for everyone :)
We had a wonderful time.. my only (hopefully helpful) feedback would be that the kids meal we ordered wasn't very nice. the avocado was very hard and the burgers we're very oily. Lovely staff though and such an enjoyable visit.
Recommended. My little one enjoyed heaps and the food was amazing. Good for bonding time with the children and also I enjoyed doing arts and craft as well with my little one
Great place, kids loved it. The prices were reasonable and the instructions clear. The girls really enjoyed their projects and the fact that the food and drinks were brought to the table whilst they worked.
Crafternoon is pretty amazing... my little man loved this place and so did i. We are Totally coming back for another crafty date. We need more cafes like this
Excellent place to visit with young children!! So many different craft activities to choose from across different ages & abilities. We loved it! Good food & drinks too!
Kept my crazy kids busy with craft while I could actually enjoy a coffee & lunch. Surprisingly great food too. Highly recommend this place for mums & kids
The Kids absolutely loved it - and the coffee , smiley baby chinos and food was great. We will be back for more glittery pasting fun. Thank you!
Had so much fun! I thought it as all for my 2 year old great-niece (who did some lovely finger painting), but we adults got stuck in as well! We'll be back...... :-)
Great staff who were lovely to my daughter. There were a range of good menu options, excellent coffee and a craft menu which will mean we return!
Always great at Crafternoon. Kids can make a mess while enjoying kiddy milkshakes. My crafty breaky was great and coffee good. Lots of artwork to take home
Great food and service. Wonderful staff make it a great place to visit with children. Excellent craft projects to keep the children entertained at very good value.
Great food, great coffee and a relaxed atmosphere (on a weekday). Staff were lovely and my 3yo left with a present for her dad for Father's Day!
This was a great fun experience for both my 6 year old and my 3 year old. The food was good too! Going back again next week.
Great fun with a 2 and 5 year old. Lovely for and extremely friendly service. Will be back very soon. Highly recommended if you have young kids
A great place to take the kids. Staff were very friendly and the crafts selection was fantastic. We will definitely go back for another craft fix :)

Lovely staff, yummy food and our six year old daughter had a ball pasting and play doughing. A Beautiful way to spend a Saturday crafternoon'
Great service and friendly staff. We enjoyed most of what we ordered although price was a little on high side. Plenty of options for kids crafts. Would return again.
We had a great time! Most importantly, the kids had loads of fun. The staff are very friendly and the food was delicious. Will definitely be going back :)
Such friendly girls, very welcoming. Food was lovely, would definitely go back. Only downside is just one toilet, which wasn't really enough for a place catered to kids
We spent quite a long time there. Nice food, fun with painting at an easel and with play doh. All craft stuff supplied and helpful staff.
Had a great time. The kids were entertained with the craft, food was yummy for adults and kids, staff really friendly - will definitely go back
It was great, kid loved it. Not sure about the food. Staff were great though and craft experience was really very sweet. Coffee was good.
Great place to take the kids! Food was lovely, and the variety of activities to choose from was great. We had a wonderful time! Thanks
Excellent for a quiet coffee while the kids do some crafts. Good prices for crafts offered. Small space so more suited for a small group.
Good menu! Good range of activities for all ages! A no frills cafe for adults to enjoy while the little ones keep busy with glitter
Fun morning and yummy food. Staff amazing with the kids.
Tight space, unfriendly staff, everything was just a bit of a hassle. Breakfast was unremarkable and was quite expensive. Not worth the 20 min drive 😞
Was very daggy, unorganised and the craft was confusing and a bit random. The cofffee however was surprisingly excellent. It smelt like a daycare centre
