It was a new concept of food for us and we did enjoy the quirky and yuppie feel of the atmosphere. Very happening and great for a Friday or Saturday night!

The Dainty Dowager was fantastic. The restaurant was very busy however the wait staff were so friendly and cheerful even though they were run off their feet. Nothing was a problem for them. The food was sensational, we came for a girls night and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Can't fault the food at all - delicious & fresh authentic flavours. Unfortunately, even though the service was good, my friends & I did not appreciate being kicked off our table after 1.5 hours. We still had food to finish & were made to rush & sit at a very crowded bar. We were told that we needed to make the table available for another booking, however this was not mentioned at the time of making a reservation. Quite disappointed for this reason & don't think we will return.

Very attentive staff and excellent selection of Asian fusion foods. Loved the cocktails and the ancient Chinese theme revolving around the dowager empress Cixi. Will return for sure!

Great food! However the service was somewhat lacking. Too many people not enough staff. We had to go to the bar to order drinks, and hunt down our own water and someone to order some dessert

We had the 'feast' which was very tasty and the food came out quickly. More than enough for our group of five. We didn't want any dessert and they allowed us to switch out items which was nice. Highly recommended

However, I would still visit it again. The venue should seriously consider some acoustic paneling to assist the ambiance

Fantastic service from our waitress, she addressed our dietary requirements promptly and when they were out of the wine we ordered, recommended another that was only available by the bottle, but she gave us one glass. The food was great too.

Poor quality and presentation of food. A child could put that meal together with a few bottles of Asian flavoured sauces from Coles. Staff reaching across to take plates away without even asking to be excused a very poor show of serving manners and obvious disregard for patrons. Over priced, would never recommend or go there again.

Good tasty food. Efficient friendly service. Four of us had the feed me menu. Good variety. Only one miss for all of us. The Korean noodle with dried fish. Everything else was great.

We have the best food ever, few of the authentic recipes just so real. We have taste all the sweets and the 3 of them just so tasty. Not to mention what a great service!!

Good food, good service. Had a highchair for kids. Great atmosphere. Food cooked fresh and beautifully presented. We shared a small roast duck - sweet, crispy skin, tender meat on the bone; filo pork skewers - marinated in cola, sweet tender and juicy, only 2 per serve; karage chicken pops which were deep fried and battered with a beautiful savoury flavour, a nice helping; dumplings 4 beautifully presented pork, juicy and lovely steamed wrapper; sung choi bao with chicken mince, healthy light, 3 per serve.

Great food soft shell crab and duck pancakes top of the pick, service was perfect, attentive but not in your face and atmosphere was lively but you could hear each other speak.
