Foodies of Melbourne, there is a new hub for Greek street food in town and you’re going to absolutely love it. ENA is simple, fresh, innovative and yet traditional, taking ingredients and cooking methods worthy of a family meal in Greece and transferring them to the modern dining and shopping precinct of the Southgate Complex. We know you will be charmed by ENA’s menu, made up of Greek favourites as well as house specialities taken from earth, land and sea. There are small meze plates for grazing or banquets for feasting, as well as a phenomenal wine list. Whatever mood you’re in, this fine restaurant of over by the water in Southbank will have the right Greek cuisine for you. Reserve a table now.
They say that one of the best diets to adopt if you want to live a long and healthy life is the Mediterranean diet. Of the Middle Sea styles, Greek cuisine is particularly light, vibrant and natural. Luckily, this is exactly the focus of the menu at Melbourne’s ENA Greek Street Food, currently the hottest restaurant in Southbank for authentic Greek cuisine, getting it right every time. Located inside the bang up to date dining precinct of Southgate, diners visiting ENA will find a clean, modern space to eat and drink, decked out with fitting chairs of blue and white as well as a gorgeous outdoor patio – you know from the moment you enter that you’re onto a winner. Staff are attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely happy to be serving their guests with Greek food that they know is some of the best in Melbourne.
The menu at ENA, although laced with traditional ingredients and cooking methods, certainly does not feel out of place in this contemporary Southbank spot. Small plates of meze are available should you only fancy a nibble, the moussaka croquettes with dill yoghurt or the soutzoukakia meatballs are both divine, as are the classic homemade ENA dips to keep on your table at all times. When it comes to mains, there are Greek staples all over the place – think grilled octopus, slow roasted lamb shank with olives or a classic Greek salad complete with feta. All ingredients are superbly fresh and locally sourced where possible, while the meats are cooked over coals on a slow rotisserie. Finish with a glass of fine Australian or Greek wine and it’s quickly clear ENA knows precisely what it’s doing. Melbourne, enjoy.
Friendly and delicious! The waiter was helpful and lovely, the live music was fun but unobtrusive and the food, as always, was yum! Thank you!
Great service, lovely setting and delicious food. One of my favorite Greek restaurants in Melbourne. Saganaki is delicious and the meat platter for 2 is great value.
Amazing flavours, great presentation, lovely service. Priced very appropriately. The only difficulty is.... what to order. Everything sounds scrumptious! Traditional flavours. Will be a returning customer.
We were at Ena for lunch yesterday with 4 friends. Once again, the food was excellent, although the Greek Feast was too much even for the 6 of us, so we all left with our doggy bags. The traditional Dolmades were fresh and tasty - apparently the Greeks call them "Greek Sushi"! Complements to the Chef and staff, who are always friendly and welcoming. Best wishes Robyn and Friends.
We had the delicious Greek feast and while we were hungry and were warned it was big, it would have been better to have been advised to order it for less people - eg there were 6 of us and we should have ordered the feast for 4. We felt bad leaving so much food. Our waitress was lovely but when the condensation started dripping on our table we should have been moved to an empty table rather than shuffling around to avoid the drips. The tiling floor became extremely slippery with the drips from above and while they had a "careful slippery floor" sign I feel this is unacceptable in the middle of a busy restaurant. After returning to my chair after going to the bathroom, my chair shot out from underneath me and I somersaulted backwards... fortunately I didn`t injure myself and we all laughed, but this needs fixing before someone really hurts themselves. My husband (the only one not having the feast) had the frustration of twice having his order forgotten. Fortunately the nice waitress made sure we weren`t charged for his meal.
We have invited friends and family to eat with us at Ena Greek Restaurant four times now. On each occasion the food has been excellent, one of the best Greek restaurants we have visited. The staff are friendly and efficient - always taking the time to explain the delightful dishes when they are delivered to the table. Of course the location is special too, riverside at Southbank Melbourne. Thank you Ena. Robyn Antoine
We we’re a party of 5 and requested a table near the window with a view which they had reserved for us.The food was really good and great value for money.Portions are large. We were there on a Thursday night and even though the restaurant wasn’t full, service was a bit slow and we had to keep asking for service.I think because we were in the corner table we couldn’t be seen that well but staff should be aware of this.
Friendly and efficient welcome and seating. Perfect position for three on the balcony on a warm, sunny day. Attentive service provision with menus and water. Possibly took a little long to bring meals, but apologised numerous times when one meal was later than others coming to table. Meals were delicious - moussaka and gyros plate. Pricing appropriate. Have dined here a few times and will return.
Gorgeous venue, the view from the balcony is lovely. The food was delivered quickly, tasted great, fresh and full of flavour. The service was warm and welcoming, we were greeted by all the floor staff as we went to our table and they were never too far away if we needed them
As always, we enjoyed the food and the friendliness of the staff. But, but unlike other times when we have been seated on the covered balcony, we were further inside the restaurant, where we found the noise level too high for relaxed conversation. We could have sat on the balcony but it would have been to hot on that particular day.
