They say don’t judge a book by its cover – but you can safely judge this Rockingham foreshore favourite by its name: Exclusive Chinese Cuisine. That’s exactly what you get here on Rockingham Beach Road. Not exclusive in the sense of being stuffy and overpriced, but rather exclusive in that they offer a lot of specialty Chinese dishes you might struggle to get anywhere else in town, or even at Chinese restaurants in Perth and Mandurah. Exclusive Chinese Cuisine have a great Asian tapas menu, which makes it easy to try many different things and is ideally suited to a sociable after-work drink and nibble, not far from the city centre (there’s even a big screen for live sports events). If you have time though, you should do justice to a full multi-course meal, where things like braised whole abalone, steamed Patagonian toothfish, wagyu beef, French lamb cutlet and a whole host of Chinese classics await.
