Amazing food & ambience. Service was a little slow. Get the red duck curry and you won't be disappointed! Will definitely head back another time

Food was OUTSTANDING. Some of the best Thai I have eaten. Service was a little slow at times. Had to ask about our mains and also follow up on a drink order. Didn't detract from the visit though but enough to not get the full 6 stars.

The welcome, food and ambiance were excellent, but the whole evening wash ruined by the only non Asian waiter called Nel!!! This guy needs to go for some serious lessons on how to talk to and treat customers!!!! Believe me we were not the only ones disappointed by this guy on the evening!!! Ask for any other waiter for service if you want to enjoy your evening.

Went to Galangal on 15th with friends, the food was fantastic and the service was efficient and very freindly. Will definetly return for another great experience.

The food and service were excellent. Best Thai food I've ever had. We'll be back to try everything on the menu. Duck red curry was delicious!!

The food was flavoursome but the service was very poor. The waitstaff were not very attentive at all. We had to try so hard to get their attention each time we wanted anything. Even then they looked as if they were not very happy to have been called. The galloping horses and the soft shell crabs of the appetisers were very good. We had red duck, stir fry Thai basil chicken, Tom yum mushroom, fried rice with prawn and steam rice for mains. We got everything else except the fried rice together and we waited and waited and even after we had finished all our curry and steam rice the fried rice was still not there. Finally after also g 3 times from waitstaff it finally came and by that time we were too full after eating the rest so didn't really enjoy it. It was tasty but had only about 6 prawns in the whole dish. They could have included more. The ambience was vibrant and warm. Such a shame that such good had to be served with so much lack of enthusiasm by the staff that it had to spoil the whole experience for us.

Almost perfect set up with delicious food and neat presentation. Unfortunately, couldn't get my coffee as the machine was temporary out of work. Thank you

Our last visit to your restaurant on a Sunday night, was wonderful, cannot fault the food and the sevice. Just love the Roasted Duck in Red Curry.

The food was great, authentic taste. The venue and ambience was lovely. The service was not bad, though the only waiter worked on that day could have used another hand. Just wish they opened for lunch for more days other than just on Friday only.

The food was excellent, however both the entree and mains were not bought out at the same time. The wait staff were not really attentive and had to the waived down.

Galangal was very good - service and food was fine and the booking service was easy to use. We have recommended the place to a number of our friends

We ordered the chicken parcels for entree which were very nice and the beef massamamcurry which was delicious and chilli basil chicken which was a bit too hot for my liking but nice. Table was a little small for two of us but other than that, friendly and quick service. Nice restaurant decor.

Not upto the standard it used to be when in Vic Park. Dishes looked rushed and tasted pre prepared with quality, taste and presentation suffering. Very disappointing as it used to be one of our favourite restaurant.

Amazing Thai flavours brought with the utmost elegance, attentive service in a setting most Australian restaurants will not be able bring. This place deserves to be a success!

Excellent service and surroundings and great food . We had a Thai guest with us and she thought it was terrific. All up a great night .

Close to city but price was too high for the quality of food.I would not go there again.Food taste was also not authentic thai cusine.

The food was divine, the staff were gracious and very accommodating, and the atmosphere was vibrant. So pleased I only live around the corner. This was not my first visit and it definitely will not be my last.

service people place top notch BUT food a little too hot would be great if they lower spices a little craig . they seemed unable too make dishes not so hot

Very enjoyable thai restaurant. Had the red curry duck and the sauce was delicious, then pork belly with thai salad which was well cooked. I had ordered the papaya salad for entree, which was also served with the pork belly, so wouldn't order both next time. Restaurant quite noisy so difficult to hear.

Galangal is a very popular restaurant and so was busy. Unfortunately there were not enough staff to cater to all tables. Whilst our food arrived promptly after we ordered there was no follow up service, sites were not cleared and we were not approached by any staff at any time. Good food though and we will definitely return.

We had been told this was the best Thai Restaurant in Perth. The food waiter was good, one of our table was celiac and the waiter knew the menu well. The menu itself was pretty straight forward Thai, nothing really funky or super modern. Nice prawn entre and the highlight of the mains was the beef Massaman curry. It is big room and holds a lot of people. It lacks a bit of vibe and style. Trying to pay the bill took a long time as we waited for no readily apparent reason, standing at the till. We all agreed it was pretty good food but probably wouldn't go back.

It was a great meal. Reasonably priced and excellent food. One of (if not the) best Thai restaurants in Perth. Definitely worth a visit. Even the vegetarian Pad Thai is tasty! Service is very friendly but a little slow when they're busy.

We ate here mid week, restaurant was full service was good. Every meal we had was exceptional for taste and presentation. Would definitely go again

I love the ambiance of the restaurant. Great serving and great foods. I dont eat curry but when i tried the green curry, it's so good. I feel like i am in heaven whe i am eating that. 😊

We live local and was looking forward to trying out the Galangal. Well appointed restaurant, professional greeting on arrival , service was good at start, took orders and lovely food arrived . End of story plates left on table for 20 minutes until had to ask to be cleared,repeated requests for water to no avail Staff not interested in table service and we were ready to leave An expensive experience wont bother returning

We all thoroughly enjoyed our recent girls night out. Delicious food, good atmosphere, good service and not to noisy. We will definitely be returning and soon Jill

Have been here several time and the food and service is always fantastic. The only downside to this restaurant is that it is always very noisy.

Great food. Great service. We had the red duck curry. Its was delicious. We brought a birthday cake which incurred an $8 fee but they brought it out candles lit with the serving utensils.

The food & wine was delicious and the service wonderful. Highly recommend the Falcon Ridge wines to drink. Thank you and we'll see you again for sure.

Great food- really great food! The place was very busy (which is usually a good sign). The service was a bit haphazard with multiple wait staff turning up one after the other and although one of our additional orders got 'lost' because of that confusion, we were lucky it did as we were so full by the end of the night . . . also using our Entertatinment Book voucher were very pleased with the price for all that we enjoyed.

The food was very tasty from the fish cakes to the mains of duck and prawns. The service was excellent too, the wait staff were always available to ask questions.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal and experienced attentive service. Galangal is a place for a dining experiemce. We will definitely return with a bunch of friends!

High end Thai cuisine, high quality food and presentation. Excellent service. Corckage per bottle a little on high side. Overall good experience will dine there again.

Galangal is a nice Thai restaurant with good food and good customer service. I must say I prefer the old Galangal restaurant in its previous location, simpler and more homey.

Fine dining Thai in a relaxed environment - fabulous food and service. Do yourself a favour and order the red curry duck with lychees! Well worth a visit or two !

What a great restaurant, more a move away from fusion food back to more the traditional - but packed with a punch! A fantastic thai experience.

We had a booking for 8 people and were seated promptly. The restaurant was busy but the service we received was efficient and helpful. Food service was prompt, presentation excellent and we could not fault the freshness and taste combinations of the various dishes we chose. The only problem we forgot to use our entertainment book voucher so we can look forward to another visit soon. Thankyou for an enjoyable evening.

Amazing Thai Food! The Massaman Curry is to absolutely die for! The Pineapple Prawns Curry is also pretty damn good! You will never regret going to this amazing place. The staff are the sweetest ever too! Make it your top priority to go asap!

The food as always was wonderful but the service was very slow and they forgot our dessert and told us that the kitchen was closed ,but when we said we had actually ordered it before they then went and found it.three bottles of wine which where on the menu were not available .its a great place but just needs some polish on the service.
