Awesome Korean BBQ restaurant! Lively atmosphere with quick and tasty food to boot! Food came out quick and was piping hot. Highly recommended their geonbae tap beer.

We love dining at Geonbae. This time was for a birthday celebration, the service was friendly, efficient and very pleasing. We especially love the fried chicken and everything on the BBQ. We will be back!

First time for the three of us to eat Korean food which we all agreed was fantastic and was matched by the very helpful staff in helping us to choose our dishes.

The restaurant suits more the younger group. We were 3 couples and didn't like the seating (booth type). We went for the $50 per head banquet and found the food pricey for what you received. Would be more appealing if you could BYO and the banquet included a dessert. The meat cooked on the grill in front of you was novel but the meat stewed rather than being BBQ'd.

Amazing service and food. First time there but won’t be the last! They cook in front you which was a new experience for me and I can’t even describe how cool it was.

Location is exceptional. Service is prompt and the experience starts from when you walk in right through to when you leave. Staff is very friendly, courteous and conscious about Client’s needs and desires asking questions before completing the orders and before cooking the food to ensure that everyone will enjoy the food and experience. Prices are reasonable and some may find it a tad heavy handed but you get what you pay for and it is worth it. Highly recommend it to singles, Couples, Groups and Families. There is something for everyone.

Back again with a larger group, mostly first timers. They LOVED it!!!

Friendly staff, we had set menu which worked well for our group of 8 all full at end of night. Food kept coming quickly throughout from minute we sat down. Atmosphere was great. Loved bbq on our table.

Super food, great service. Just too much food in the banquets. Certainly try the BBQ. Would be a hoot of a place to go to in summer on the deck out the front

Food and service was great. Maybe have more variety for chicken than just the spicy option? Like chicken bulgogi or a marinated chicken that is not spicy?

Nice place and good to try something different. Not a busy night but felt like we were being rushed a little. Squid too spicy and a bit overpriced for what it was really. Nice house beer!

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with great attentive service. The staff were really accommodating and recommended a great selection of dishes to try. The food was absolutely delicious!! I loved everything and the dishes came out quite quickly. Since hearing and reading great reviews of this place I couldn’t wait to try it, it did not disappoint! I will definitely be back. The set menu was great value- a great way to try a variety of Korean cuisine! Everything was fresh and delicious. Great service - would definitely come again!

The staff are happy friendly and polite. There was a long wait on meals. Must have been at least 40 mins for a table of three. We were late to the show we were going to afterwards.

Being full on a Sunday night is a great sign, shame they were understaffed and it reflected in the experience and the food. I'd like to try again and see if it was an off night

First time at this restaurant and it won't be the last. The food was excellent and the service was good. Our main was cooked in front of us, and like all the dishes served nice and hot.

The food was fantastic, Our waitress was new to the restaurant but on it! Only advice - just don't sit near the toilet door :-(

I had been dying to go here for ages and after last night the wait was worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful with great service. The food was amazing, fresh and incredibly tasty, and having it cooked at your table was an extra treat. For a Thursday night it was relatively busy but service certainly didn’t suffer for it. Will definitely be going back.

Food was great as always. Never disappointed, highly recommend the spicy pork BBQ and chilli fried chicken. Brings a nice touch of Korea to Melbourne’s South East.
