Gold Leaf Chinese Restaurant - Burwood

Great to return after a snap lockdown in Melbourne which meant all restaurants were closed for two weeks. Confidence in dining returned weeks later. This only help make it more appealing to enjoy the delicious dim sum on offered at Gold Leaf Burwood. With restrictions on the maximum capacity each establishment is allowed to be opened to customers I was delighted to secure a table in short notice. Everything was delicious and I look forward to my return soon.

Good service and food quality is good except the beef rice rolls were a bit cold. May be it was in the trolley for too long

Perfect place to catch up with friends and family. Whether it be just two, or twenty two or more. The selection of dim sum dishes are diverse and will satisfy individuals with different tastes and favourites. Yum Cha service is on seven days a week. Totally satisfied after the diverse selection we chose. Will return again soon.

The chicken claws are exceptionally delicious and gelatinous. Scallop skirt salad was crunchy and refreshing. The soybean pudding was silky and smooth. The osmanthus jelly with goji berries was sweet and cleansed the palate. These were just some of the delicious dim sum dishes I ordered from the waitresses pushing trolleys around in a circuit around the restaurant.

Delicious dim sum whether steamed, fried, baked, savoury, or sweet. Be sure to leave room for dessert and do try the ice cream mochi which has to be ordered on request.

All my favourite dim sum selections were on offer with some specialties. Do try the ice cream mochi dessert from the wait staff as they are only by request.

Enjoyed good food and excellent service. Good place for family gathering.

Returned for Chinese New Year day dim sum serving auspicious speciality New Year delicacies. This was to be offered over the entire two week CNY celebration period. But the celebrations will be dampened for the next five days with a third lockdown due to a Covid19 outbreak. Let’s hope this current lockdown remains short so others can enjoy the deliciousness of CNY specials for the remaining festive period.

A good selection and variety of dim sum rolled out in traditional trolleys to choose from whether you prefer them fried, steamed, sweet or specialty dishes. I look forward to returning for CNY Day where I am sure special dishes will be on offer for the auspicious occasion.

Nothing is more delicious than freshly steamed Har Gau, Har Cheung, Hoi Sin Gao, Sin Zuk Gyun, Nor Mai Gai, and many more mouth watering, piping hot, steamed morsels of dim sum. All wheeled out in trolleys so you may select for yourself what appeals to your eyes and hungry stomach...

Delicious fresh hot steamy dim sum available daily. The standard dim sum dishes are available along with some speciality dishes not served elsewhere. The scallop skirt salad is one of my favourites so are the vanilla ice cream mocha dessert.

Was looking forward to return to some delicious dim sum after lockdown was lifted. Was not disappointed and I am looking forward to return again soon.

Atmosphere was affected by the lack of patrons due to the coronavirus (illogical) scare. Hang in there guys.

It was overall good. good foods, good services and quiet place.

The food we ordered was cooked nicely and well presented. The service was good too.
