Grabs - Mount Lawley

$55 for 4 x Mussels and about 6 Yabbies. Fishy type of fish used for fish and chips. Not worth the money spent. There was noone else in the resturant for the entire time I was in there.

Nice restaurant. Good food. feel a bit weird cracking the mudcrab with a hammer. We were scared that it would leave a stain on our clothes

One of the best meals I have had all year! We ordered the king crab legs and lobster tails and everything was absolutely delicious and so generous!

Worst experience ever and very expensive meal... my partner has given his review towards grab a yabby..the ribs were not tender.. the yabbies were not pleasant to eat, the rice were very expensive... the grab a yabby were over priced and over rated...

Local seafood themed Restaurant in Mt Lawley. Nice bar and dining area. Had the soft shell crab sliders and for mains the Prawns and Marron. Both were decious, the Marron in XO sauce was especially good. I had hot and it was perfect amount of heat for those that like things spicy. Overall Fun and tasty dining experience.

What a fun experience we had! I love the idea of something different and the fact that you are given bibs, a pair of gloves and a bucket before your dining experience means you know you are in for some fun! We ordered the yabbies with the Grab a Yabby special sauce and the fisherman's basket with the Grab a Yabby special sauce. Both dishes were awesome however the standout was the bay bug on the fisherman's basket, it was so juicy and so sweet. When the food first came to our table I must admit I though 'Where's the rest of it?' as the dishes looked quite small but we ate it all and were satisfied by the time we had finished our meal. The food is expensive and it's definitely not a restaurant I'd visit often due to the high prices but it was definitely a great experience. The waitress we had was really knowledgeable and lovely too which always helps.

Great tasting seafood. Ribs fell off the bone and lobster pasta was awesome. Disappointed that they ran out of yabby and mud crab on a Sunday. Have to return again.

Quite a fun experience. Food was good. Portion sizes were great. Because its seafood its all market price so becareful with that. Atmosphere was a little bit quiet but the service was amazing. The waitress introduced herself and explained the menu quite well. She also came to show us how to open the yabby.

We had the spicy steamboat with the hello kitty butter and the food was average price is pricy. 3 of us cost about 150 a u d. Will not be going there for a long time.

Unfortunately this restaurant ran out of yabbies and apparently this is not the first time. Fortunately the waitress was good, but this did not make up for overpriced and undersized meals. Was really looking forward to eating here and however will not be returning.

This is third time going to this place. Food was very nice . Especially spaghetti lobster . Yummy 😋 next time will book this place again.

We felt like unusual seafood ie crabs, yabbies, prawns real messy scrumptious seafood. They provide plastic bibs and gloves so You don’t get it on yourself. Fun.

Great service, great food. A bit expensive, but it was as expected, not out of the norm here. Will definitely coming back here for more. My son is absolutely in love with the chicken sliders and the nuggets.

Good idea, needs to be fine tuned though and more local produce. Service was far from perfect. Once established will be a good concept in the future.

Messy but fun, staff are very helpful and explain things. Sadly out of crawfish when we went (imported from USA) but we were assured this is temporary and a very unusual occurrence. Will be back to try the crawfish.

The service was great but unfortunately the seafood wasn't fresh especially the lobster and bay bugs, with the price paid we could have better food elsewhere and won't be coming back anytime soon.

Mains are Overpriced for what you get.. served in a bag with 3 jars of minced garlic inside. Pretty disappointed. The idea of this place is great just not done well

A different fun dinner experienced. Average food. A lil’ pricey I guess however really enjoyed our dinner. Staff is very helpful however watching us while eating maybe is not pleasant😅.

We had great service and great food. The service was very attentive to what we needed and made us feel very comfortable. We thought it was good value for money especially the fisherman's basket.

Friendly staffs, yummy seafood and great ambience. We had the fried calamari and cajun special yabbies. Both were delicious. And the experience was really fun.

We had xo sauce mud crabs and combo seafood with grab a yabby sauce. Both are very good especially the one with xo sauce. Will definitely be back soon. 👏🏻😃

Nice and friendly staff, the seafood was very fresh. The sauces were quite tasty pity they sold out of the mud crab. Next time will want to try the mud crabs.

The best ribs i have ever eaten. Yabbies are very good to ,the beers could be a lot colder but all in all a very good meal. We will definately be back

We were warned that the lava wings were hot.. I like hot spicy food but o my god. After only having 2 bites off the wing I instantly thought are these even legal!!! My whole mouth was on fire for about half an hour, I got the hiccups straight away and then had to fight the urge to vomit. Beware people... They are HOT!!

Very yummy food specially for the chili crab , and the ladies service is excellent , I will recommend this restaurant for friends,probably will be coming back again....

Have been to Grab-a-Yabby three times now and each time has been excellent. The most recent time I visited it was when I took my whole family for my mum's birthday on a Friday night. We all ordered mud crabs and the food came out within a reasonable time and our waitress was really great, always making sure everything was ok and exceeding our expectations. The mud crabs were delicious, everyone was happy with the sauces they ordered - when you ask for hot, they give you hot! They also catered for my two year old nephew and made us feel very welcome to bring little kids. It is definitely a place for the whole family. My mum received wine on the house and my brother in law received a shot glass for finishing some extremely hot lava wings. The atmosphere is fun and friendly, the food is messy but it's supposed to be! And the service is excellent, with a friendly wave goodbye at the door. Can't wait to go back.

Always great food!! Consistent. Must try!! Kiat beef and pork ribs. Seafood recipes are unique and extremely tasty!! It will be very difficult to fault the quality of food.

experience was ok. service was a bit slow as only 1 floor staff that night. food was ok but only tried the seafood mix or platter.

Food was alright, good service and atmosphere. Very good for a first time experience. It was quite fun and messy but it was worth the experience.

Overall Average. No flavour in yabbies and mud crab we ordered. Overrated! Definitely will not recommend to others. Service and cleanness are good enough to above average.

There should be a "Grab a Yabby" signage fronting the parking area. It's not easy to find at first. There are people who doesn't like hot food. Your mild is too much for some people. Maybe make something that's milder than mild.

Food is over priced and you don't get much for what you paid. We had the crawfish combo and clams, there wasn't much in it. The pork rack was massive but the meat was a bit tough and same thing not much meat. But I have to say the service is attentive and friendly so thumbs up for it.

Loved it. Great atmosphere. Good food. The other seafood was probably better than ordering yabbies and the yabbi sause was average. The asian xo sause actually went the best with the seafood
