Grilla House’s specialties are, as the name suggests, charcoal-grilled dishes that take particular inspiration from the states fringing the Mediterranean. Here you can find the grilled goodness typical of Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisines, Central European specialties, Italian pasta dishes, wraps, salads and desserts. Grilla House’s Lygon Street premises in Melbourne’s Carlton are also a great place to drop by for a burger and a drink, with a long list of beer, spirits, cocktails and more culminating in a great selection of European wines.

Grilla House’s Grilla Burger is something of a signature here at this Carlton grillhouse, a fat stack consisting of a premium beef patty grilled to perfection on the Mediterranean-style charcoal grill, egg, cheese, bacon, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles, mustard, aioli and tomato sauce. A better works burger you’ll be hard pressed to find in Melbourne. Grab a Japanese Asahi or Italian Menabrea beer for a well-rounded chow-down. There’s a great selection of cocktails and aperitifs on offer at Grilla House, too – grab a Campari or a Cinzano, or the strawberry-and-bourbon-based Chizz-Chizz while you wind up to the main event: MSA-graded ribeye steak, lamb and pork cutlets, kafta and shish kebabs, souvlaki, or the full mixed grill sampler.
