Famous throughout Eastern Australia, Groove Train is the place to go for international dishes done right. Unlike some Melbourne restaurants where you might find an array of international eats that, while delicious, lack authenticity, at Groove Train in Richmond, the chefs pay attention to traditional flavours and cooking techniques, ensuring the best quality. It’s no wonder, then, that Groove Train has been in the business since 1998, serving their signature dishes to diners from all over the country. Not a Groover yet? Then step aboard Groove Train on Bridge Road in Richmond for a flavourful world trip.
Great food n service, I'm on special diet and they catered to my needs and it was reasonable plriced in a good location and staff were friendly
Service was very friendly . I ordered Ceser salad with chicken was good except chicken was little bit over cooked. Beef salad was not great as salty and strong taste.
Richmond’s Groove Train has a massive following in the Melbourne area, just as all of the restaurant’s outlets do. This particular branch on Bridge Road is beloved for its mellow and laidback vibe, a stark contrast to the hubbub that’s just outside the door. Some diners visit Groove Train for the breakfasts alone. Try the triple stack pancakes, a stack of homemade flapjacks topped with mixed berry compote, maple syrup & icing sugar – add ice cream if you feel like going all out! For something less, well, decadent, you can also choose from savoury options like the like Hearty Vegetarian, including mushrooms, poached eggs, tomato, baby spinach, hash browns and boston beans on toasted multigrain bread. The menu items are clearly labelled, perfect for the gluten-free or meat-free diners at your table.
Later in the day, there’s plenty of tasty mains available to keep you fuelled up for whatever challenge is ahead. Until 5pm, Groove Train in Melbourne’s Richmond offers up wholesome focaccias stuffed with gourmet ingredients like smoked salmon, capers, roasted pumpkin chickpeas, grilled bacon avocado and Danish feta, among several others. Go for one of the restaurant's pastabilities and risottos like traditional fettuccine carbonara, pan-fried gnocchi, or the spaghetti alla Groove, complete with spring onion, Napoli sauce, basil pesto, cream, chicken, avocado and parmesan. That’s not all, folks. Richmond’s Groove Train is also well known for their pizzas – we recommend the gourmet lamb pizza topped with mozzarella, grilled lamb, Spanish onion, Napoli sauce, spinach, tzatziki and olives. Reservations are recommended for this popular local hangout!
