Hangout on Preston

A truly amazing experience. Food and service was exceptional. Very attentive towards my mum for her birthday. Thank you

First time there, attracted by the reviews. But the restuarant I found odd - part Asian, part pub, part wine bar, part coffee shop - not sure where they were. The food was OK, but the service poor. I think the waitstaff might have been new (reaching across people to place glasses rather than walking around and not starting with drinks orders when we arrived) and the chef stressed (about 10 people in the restuarant and we waited 45 min for our mains which looked stressed on the plate when they came out, and then not all at once). Not on my return list which is a shame as it's pretty local to our home.

Was a Thursday so place was quiet which suited me as I was catching up with an old friend so not too noisy

Staff were very attentive and the breakfast was great. Very large portions.

had a few hiccups at the cafe. coffee machine was in service, cashier I was dealing with didn't know how to put in a special order. But the senior staff was very good in handling everything. machine was back in service quickly and he taught the (I assume) newer staff how to rectify/problem solve. on top of that, food was great! :)

Again fabulous friendly service in a pleasant environment with a warm fire and amazing muffins and coffee thank you....

Food was from the freezer and in one case still cold. No winter specials for example soup. Our table of 6 had 2 people who only had coffee but wouldn’t split bill. No one has cash anymore. Won’t be returning

it was good. there was plenty of space. the staff let us order from both the breakfast and lunch menu as we didn't know there was a change in menu times. but she was quite accommodating. she also recognized when it was busy and rather than making me wait, she asked me to sit down and she would come back to me and she did.

I had the croquette bowl and French toast. The French toast was really good! thick and soft and sweet!

Our most favourite place to eat when in Perth . Amazing staff always a smile with our welcome . Food is always great.

Overall, we were reasonably happy. The food was nice, although my nephew was a little disappointed with the chicken parmigiana, he thought it was a little dry. I thought the service was a little slow, our finished plates sat on the table for a long time and were actually only removed when they brought out the dessert.

We loved our first visit to The Hangout a couple of months ago and couldn’t wait to go back. Staff were amazing and this time we had a few of the share plates. So glad we did. Love this place 👍😁

On line booking is easy .staff is friendly fish is not fresh .

Always enjoy coming to Hangout on Preston whenever I am in Perth - favourite dining spot - food is always great, staff friendly and welcoming, and the busy yet quiet nature of the restaurant makes you want to keep it a secret from everyone else - own special place for a meal.

Steak was requested med rare. Was overcooked and very fatty so only half eaten. We were not offered dessert table not cleared and automatically a credit card surcharge was added to our bill prior to know how we were going to settle

Food was overcooked and fish was inedible. Won’t be back

"Nearly" everytime I go for breakfast, I have the pancakes. Last weekend, for the first time, the pancakes were not fluffy and appeared to have been pre-cooked a day or so before and then heated up on the day of serving. I was really disappointed, however, I will be back again. Hopefully, it was a "one off". Hangout on Preston is a great place to "hangout" 😁
