Fantastic! We will return! Best, David and Rachael McLean xx
The restaurant wasn't open when we arrived, so we went elsewhere.
The service was very slow. Entrees were good. The beef was OK but could have been purchased in Woolworths The pork was dry and overcooked.
Cute little local restaurant. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food ranged from good to excellent depending on the dish. Prices are very reasonable. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Would certainly go back.
I had not been there before and was not sure what to expect. the restaurant is spacious and not noisy, a big plus for me! It was BYO, another big plus for these days. The staff were helpful, pleasant and patient as we took long to get organised and order. the food was good. Although we were the last to leave , no pressure. We all well enjoyed the night and it is suitable for groups or couples.
On the positive the food of the degustation menu was very tasty with the fish, beef and desserts delicious. The entree was served on a cracked plate which was not a good start. In addition the portion sizes varied significantly between my plate and my wife's plate for the fish and the beef courses. Disappointingly the mens toilet smelt horrid with water covering most of the floor. The ladies toilets were clean. If I had to pay full price I would've been very disappointed as it would not have been good value for money.
excellant food. excellent service weather bit off. need coat hangers. will be back excellant foo. excellant service weather bit off. need coat hangers will return
Disappointing. Food ordinary, little atmosphere. Very different to our previous visits a few years ago even though the menu was more extensive. I doubt we would return.
The wagyu beef was delicious and the dessert was tasty. To make it worthwhile, would be good if the degustation menu included wine or coffee since the restaurant is a bit hard to get to.
10/10 - 2nd time at Hayes St Wharf Bistro and once again a delicious meal. Excellent menu, plenty of choice for everyone. Plate / food presentation is very good, eye appealing I chose the Spatchcock - amazing, a taste sensation. !!! The other guests had 'Wagyu Brisket' & 'Organic Lamb Chop' both raved about their meal.... Plus we shared a bowl of yummy perfectly cooked 'hand cut fries' The restaurant has a welcoming cosy atmosphere, tables are set with white linen cloths & napkins Lovely friendly service We will definitely return.
Great food and a pleasing ambience. The service was friendly and informative, the food was on point and the environment enabled us to engage in lively debate with our dinner guests.
