What more could you possibly want, ever? Seriously though. As the name suggests, Hops Scotch and Beans is a mecca for Brisbane beer, whisky and coffee connoisseurs, with a rotating selection of local craft beers, Petrie Terrace’s best spread of Scottish whiskies and a special partnership with Louie Louie Roastery that sees some of Brisbane’s tastiest coffee roasted on site. This funky do-it-all cafe/bar is by no means limited by its three eponymous specialties, though, as they roll out an exceptional menu, from confit chorizo with pea hash, watercress and hollandaise for breakfast to a sea scallop, speck, hummus and hops dressing burger or single-origin coffee tiramisu (which in itself will have you hankering for a return visit) that has already put it among Milton’s favourite go-to haunts whatever the time of day – on that note, it does get very busy so bookings are always recommended.
