Hunter & Barrel Raine Square

Had a great experience. Have been to the one in Whitfords a few times and thought we would try the one in the city. The only thing I would change is the seat. My partner and I sat at the booth, she was on the booth and I was on a chair. I notice you have 2 types of chairs, the hard wood ones and the soft cushiony ones. The hard ones aren't comfortable at all, its hard to relax because its rock hard.

The air conditioning was absolutely freezing which also cooled down the food. My husbands Waygu skewer was sent back as it was stone cold. The salad was tasteless and the clearing of our table very tardy.

I had been previously and loved it. This time there were 3 of us and each thought their food was superb. Staff are lovely. Our only complaint would be that the music was a tad too loud when you are trying to talk across the table.

Pre booked for table of 4 and visited Hunter barrel tonight for my wife’s birthday.Was disappoint when on arrival was offered a table that was only suitable for two but trying to squeeze four adults around it. They eventually offered us two tables of the same size which was much better. Service was very good and the food was excellent. Disappointed again when they wouldn’t split the bill for two couples sharing, the waitress said the normally can but the manager on shift wasn’t prepared to, very poor. I have now visited both Whitfords and the city restraunts ans the Whitfords branch is far more welcoming and much more customer focused.

great atmosphere for a Thursday night, people enjoying themselves but can still carryon a conversation, meat was cooked perfectly and side were very generous

Table service was slow, this was my 2nd time to the restaurant with slow table service both times. Food was lovely.

They need to do something about their doors, esp during winter or on those cold windy days. it was really annoying that the wind kept blowing in.

Fantastic food and love the cocktails. Service was spot on, constantly refilled our glasses.
