Melburnians are some of the world’s most discerning foodies, and they know an authentic taste from a knock-off. When it comes to Asian food, this is even more stark: so trust us when we say that I Love Dumplings – and their outlet on A’Beckett Road in the city centre – is home to some of the best dim sum in town. Their Chinese specialities are beloved of the Melbourne public, and after one visit, it won’t be hard to see why the crowds keep coming back. Book a table now and find out for yourself.
Service was excellent. Food came in good time and we were left alone to char out lazy lunchtime away. We will definitely be back. Great lunch spot
Fantastic food and service. Would definitely order the pork dumpling.
This is a vey good restaurant for the busy office worker. The staff ensure their team efforts translate to a service that is efficient and effective. The menu offers many delicious options that are affordable and of generous portions. I've never been disappointed and highly recommend eating here. Only down side is that there is no bill splitting which can be a bother for groups and there is usually a wait to get a table at peak times but this merely proves how popular and successful this venue is!
Up in the top end of the city centre, close to Melbourne Central train station on A’Beckett Street, lies one of the finest Chinese restaurants around. I Love Dumplings isn’t a huge restaurant – though they have four locations around the city – but what they lack in size they make up for in flavour, with a range of dim sum and dumplings that is the envy of many a Melbourne restaurant. They offer dumplings steamed, boiled and fried, filled with meat, seafood and vegetables, and a selection of other Chinese favourites.
Chinese food is famed for its diversity of cooking styles and ingredients, and at I Love Dumplings on A’Beckett Street – near the cross with Elizabeth Street – you can experience a whole range of them. From Sichuanese spicy specialities, to Lioning-style stews and, of course, plenty of dumpling options, the menu offers something for everyone to enjoy. Book a table now and enjoy a great start to your evening in Melbourne city centre.
