The easiest way to find Ichiro’s Sushi Bar is really quite easy indeed. Like traditional sushi bars back in Japan, it’s a favourite amongst commuters and local Mascot workers looking for an express sushi fix, and so sticks like sticky rice close to Mascot train station, technically on Kent Street but easy to spot when you alight from transport on Bourke Street. While sushi and sashimi are on the cards, there are donburi and noodle dishes aplenty, bento boxes and hot Japanese dishes, too. The key to Ichiro’s success is their commitment to freshness, calling upon the same suppliers that keep the city’s top Japanese restaurants stocked up to create their affordable delicacies. Keep an eye out for the regularly changing chef’s specials, available for just a limited time at this special Sydney sushi restaurant.
Excellent fresh and tasty sushi and Japanese food. Will definitely return. Seafood gyoza were delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Mixed Grilled nigiri was a winner.
The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the teriyaki tofu and the volcano roll. We will definitely be going back.
Delicious sashimi and nigiri, quality of fish is on top and also white rice is very good. The portions are generous. I strongly suggest this place if you like sushi.
