I have lunch at Ipoh Laksa a few times, first time having dinner. it was good.
Good food and great value for money. It's about $25 per person for a filling meal. I like my food a bit saltier than most so I found the salt to be lacking. Other than that it was a good time had by all.
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. It was nice to chat and catch up without loud music in the background. I noticed the other tables were enjoying the food as much as we were. My friends thanked me for suggesting the restaurant and we are making a date for our next visit. Prompt service and friendly staff completed the experience.
Serving up the famous soup staple laksa alongside other Malaysian specialities, as well as some Chinese dishes, Ipoh Laksa Malaysian Kitchen is a favourite among the foodies of Brisbane’s Strathpine suburb. Ideally located on Gympie Road, the restaurant features a cosy and casual vibe complete with traditional Malaysian decor. Begin your meal with some popiah goreng (vegetable spring rolls), lobak (marinated prawn and pork rolls) or the skewered chicken satay before choosing from one of several mains.
The laksa is the main attraction at Ipoh Laksa Malaysian Kitchen – try the Ipoh curry laksa (homemade coconut curry stock with vermicelli and hokkien noodles together with fish cake, fish balls, egg, chicken, bean curd and bean sprouts). Or, you could go for another classic Malaysian dish like the nasi goreng (spicy fried rice with prawns, chicken, egg, bean curd and vegetables). Located on Gympie Road over in Strathpine, Ipoh Laksa Malaysian Kitchen attracts diners from across Brisbane every day of the week. To guarantee a table, make a reservation ahead of time!
