Attentive and friendly service; food was fresh, tasty and good quality (sashimi, chicken karaage). Atmosphere could be improved - the front door wouldn't close properly which made the seating area drafty and cold. We left to go have dessert elsewhere because of this. Toilet floor was wet with puddles, which was unappealing

Some of the best Japanese we've had for a long time. Very good quality and freshness. Every dish we had was beautifully presented and perfectly executed. An absolute pleasure to eat this menu, we will be back regularly! Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu! But will be almost impossible to pass on the Deluxe Sashimi Box, it was stunning! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely dinner , the Japanese dishes were fresh with lots of flavour . Staff were attentive and ready at hand . Premises were clean and tidy. We had the 2 person banquet which was more than enough. Will come back again

I ordered Sushi Omakase 12pcs.it is very fresh but Scampi,Aburi and Toro with Chilli powder.Taste terrible I don’t know why used chilli powder with Nigiri sushi!!impossible!!Ikura and caviar are fine.I felt taste chilli only..

Polite service but this sushi and sashimi selection was not as nice as the first time I tried it. The miso soup was a bit cold.

Nice venue tucked away in a quieter part of Melbourne CBD We ordered a sushi plate, tuna tartare and the wagyu fried rice with bone marrow to share between two. There was a Sunday surcharge of 10% - bill ended up being ~$100 not including drinks Service was quick and the staff were very attentive.

Great service, nice presentation of food. Sashimi and sushi were delicious. The karage chicken and pork cutlet for the curry were quite dry. But everything else was good.

I visited with a group of around 8 and they had no trouble servicing us, and the food was excellent.

Everything we had was so good. I would highly recommend the hosaku sashimi sudoku box which was really good. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back!

Tasty dishes, fresh ingredients and flavoursome, well presented menu items. Seating arrangements are limited though, and staff not aware that mopping floor for the day with strong smelling disinfectant near customers tables is offputting. Service was friendly though. Would visit again

unfortunately it seemed quiet when we were there Sunday lunch. hope they are very busy most times as food is well presented n delicious. bonus was we got undivided attention.

Had the most amazing food and the service was great, got very good food/drink recommendations from staff. Salmon aburi was amazing and the Yuzu sour is too easy to drink!

Food was amazing and well worth the visit. Music was very strange though for the setting ( loud pop music) and didn’t suit the venue or quality if the food.

Food quality is great, but the quantity is quite small, and the price is very high.

We visited Izakaya Hosaku during a short lunch time, the food is really good. We ordered 2 Washoku Sets, Wagyu Fried Rice, and Mackerel Fried Rice, all of them are really good and tasteful. The service was quick and all the staff are friendly as well. We would definitely go back!
