The dishes are always so fresh and beautifully presented and the standards of service are impeccable. So much thought has gone into the stylish decor. Our favourite Japanese!
always top service ayumi always looks after us. the food always top notch
The aburi was very good with the smoked eel being an absolute standout. The Hot sake also very good. The customer service was great I highly recommend for top of the range Japanese restaurant.
great food and service. Would love to come back again. Loved their cheesecake and yuzu sorbet. it was so good we ordered it twice. Defintely recommend!
Three of us had dinner here on a Saturday night, and we were all very happy with our experience. Although the restaurant was pumping, the service was good and food and drinks arrived quickly. We ordered an array of food (sashimi, sushi rolls, tataki and other izakaya dishes) and loved all of it. Even better, the bill arrived and was very reasonable.
Excellent food, service, ambience, staff. What more can you ask for? Top of the list for Japanese food in Perth at the moment so will definitely be back on a regular basis. Only negative and this has nothing to do with the restaurant, parking can be a pain, so taxi, drop off or Uber, is the best way to go.
Lovely place with a nice, cozy ambience. Sashimi is always fresh and beef tataki is amazing and feels like a burst of flavour as soon as it's in your mouth. These are always my "must eats" at James Parker. Price has been increasing every time the menu changes, which is a downfall. Pricey food but great taste. Good for special occasions or to treat yourself.
Originally, we have booked 2 tables, one for 12 people, the other one for 4 people, we would like to have two tables at the same compartments (small table on the side of the window and the large table beside it) However, you cannot provide the 2 tables at the same area, you have to ask us to have a small table at the other side which is behind the bench. We have been sitting at the tables from 7:30pm to 9:45pm, the small table next to the windows hasn't got anybody sited at the whole night. Cant explain why we can't have the 2 tables together!
Food and ambience was fantastic! I especially loved the desserts they had. Only reason I couldn't give a 6 was because service was a little slow. Both mains ordered had come out and basically finished eating it but the side dishes still hadn't arrived. Had to ask twice for the status on side dishes which eventually came. Overall though I would definitely recommend it!
Delicious food. We had the 5x2 sashimi plate and wagyu beef tataki. Drinks were good as we had the authentic japanese beer and sake. However, we when ordered more food, it took ages (at least 20 mins just for nigiri) as they said the kitchen was crazy busy. So we had to cancel it because we had other schedule that day.
