Nothing comforts quite like the taste of a freshly cooked South Asian curry. The folks at JJ’s Indian Restaurant take it one step further by offering a dining space that’s both sophisticated and relaxed, an atmosphere that’s perfect for just about any dining occasion. The Wollongong branch – you’ll find another location in Kiama – is on Crown Street right in the heart of the city and only steps from the main train station for when you need a convenient (and delicious) bite to eat. There are many fantastic dishes to try at JJ’s, with favourites on the menu being the zesty fish mallabari, vegetarian delights like dal makhani and baingan curry, and classics like lamb bhuna, goat curry, butter chicken and Bombay beef. The restaurant also features a lengthy list of fine wines, beers and cocktails to choose from, so you’ll have plenty of great options for quenching your thirst. No matter what you’re looking for, booking ahead is a smart idea when planning to dine at JJ’s in the city centre.
I had not been here in some time but there seems to have been a change in management. The food presentation was much improved and despite being relatively busy, the food was served quickly. Delicious restaurant, will return!
Fantastic food which was served quickly and the service was great with the waiter checking numerous times that we were ok and didn't need anything.
The food is always delicious. I'm a big fan of their butter chicken and vindaloo in particular. Happy to recommend them, especially if you're after a great Indian meal
