You’ll never have to walk far to find an Indian restaurant in Melbourne, but sometimes, the curry house scene can get a little samey. If you’re looking to branch out into an altogether more exotic cuisine from the subcontinent, then let us point you in the direction of Kabul Flavour Restaurant and Cafe, where they bring, well, the flavours of Kabul to the streets of the Victorian capital. You can find Kabul Flavours in the east of the city, right next to Windsor train station on Chapel Street, and when you get there, you’ll be met with a range of Afghan delicacies that are sure to delight. Try the national dish, Qabuli Palow, long-grain rice topped with almonds, sultanas, carrots and cardamom, or some traditional munto dumplings, steamed and filled with minced meat, onions, herbs and spices. If you’re on the search for something a little out of the ordinary in Prahran, Windsor or St Kilda, then look no further than Kabul Flavour, one of the best Afghan restaurants in Melbourne.
Service was good, we weren't in a hurry and the staff were happy to let us take our time ordering. Food was good, had tea and coffee at the end of the meal.
Friendly home-style restaurant. Excellent service, delicious food and a pleasant ambience in buzzy, vibrant Windsor. Lots of exciting options to choose from on the menu.
Inexpensive, friendly, OK for a quick bite and catch up, but not really overwhelmed by the flavours - potatoes were good, eggplants sour, curry and national dish OK
