Very nice wagyu beef, fresh food and mango pudding. Great service
Unique fusion twists. All dishes hit the mark! Great wagyu.
Service was poor. A waiter slid our glass across the table off the bat, just plain rude. Doesnt get the basics right - such as rice was served with sashimi so by the time we cook the meat the rice had already gone cold. For some reason skin were left on Sashimi which made it chewy. They try to be Japanese and trendy but there's a whole lot of room for improvement.
the only thing that i was not satisfy was there was some rib and bones left in the fish sashimi , and the bartender and cocktail was great especially Danny , also Steven was great too, i will return next time and try the sashimi again.
The food was delicious and the staff were prompt and polite.
Excellent wagu service good but closed exactly on time beef tataki fantastic
We had a great time Dinning at Katóri. One neg comment is that the food came out pretty quickly. Other than that the food was delicious.
Found the service friendly and efficient. The quality of the produce was at a good level for a suburban restaurant.
Staff are not professional, they are more suited to cafe work than this restaurant. Service was a let down, otherwise create food.
Service was poor, incorrect order was initially bought to the table, luke warm rice arrived well before the mains it was to accompany, we were being rushed out when half full wine glass was wisked away.
The food was great. A little pricey but worth it.
The manager attitude was discriminative and arrogant. Never expect that he commanded us to get the pram sorted without offering any help. Even responded no time for refilling water, but willing to serve other tables.
The food was outstanding, but the service was ordinary. The waitresses were friendly and helpful, but the manager was bordering on rude. We were told at 9.30pm that we needed to leave because the restaurant was closing. You can't offer a dining experience and close a restaurant at 9.30pm! Such a shame the service has over shadowed the food in this review, because the food was a delicious blend of delicately flavoured sauces and dressings paired with the finest, freshest ingredients. I'd go back again any day, simply for the food.
I asked for the private room as we were celebrating my son's 30th birthday with our immediate family members. Food was great so was the service and we loved the private setting. The restaurant is a bit pricey but I was happy to pay for the unique experience.
delicious , nice place , love a wagu :) yum
Everything was delicious and service and staff was 10/10! Highly recommend this restaurant!
Amazing food and variety of Japanese dishes. The hida beef took us back to Takayama!
The quality of food was amazing! The sashimi was melt in your mouth quality and the wagyu bbq platter was scrumptious!
Great Finn and service in the heart of box hill
Excellent service beautiful environment great food . Absolutely awesome !
So good 😊 it is an amazing place great night
Really nice restaurant in Box Hill. Had a fantastic meal with friends, will return!
A bit pricey but food was nice and the staff were very friendly.
With high expectations our group of four booked for a Thursday evening. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. The food was definitely of a high standard however we were so disappointed that the service was not. When paying significantly higher prices (our bill was around $600 for four people) it is a reasonable expectation that service would be of a high standard. Our water was not offered to be or indeed topped up without us having to ask, the first bottle of wine ordered was clumsily poured by the waiter, spilling on to the table (this could have been an accident however the staff member did not appear experienced in wine pouring), we were not asked if we wanted more drinks, our empty glasses and dishes were left on the table as each course progressed leaving little room to eat, as the restaurant cleared as the evening progressed, end of night cleaning commenced around us (this was at 9pm when the restaurant is advertised as open until 11pm). The most disappointing experience however was whilst we still had not finished our wine, and were considering teas/coffees at 9.30pm, a staff member approached our table to advise us they were closing and to pay our bill. We were left feeling that the staff were more keen to go home than to continue to serve us. This is not the type of experience expected for a more refined dining restaurant. For this restaurant to succeed we would recommend dropping the prices to reflect and match the cafe level service or retrain/recruit wait staff experienced in fine dining. Oh, and we were left to walk out ourselves without a farewell or thank you from any of the staff. So disappointing.
