Born out of a love for Asian culture and cuisine, Kekou Melbourne was created after a boat trip throughout Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. After experiencing the life-changing flavours of Asian fusion firsthand, the owners of Kekou decided to combine their love of this exciting cuisine with their other passion – craft beer. And boy, are we here for it. Located on Bridge Road in Richmond, Kekou Melbourne is housed in a 120-year old building where it features a menu brimming with dishes like young jackfruit bao with tomato salsa; veal shank green curry with wild ginger; slow-cooked lamb rump; cured Hiramasa kingfish sashimi and pandan-smoked duck leg with Mandarin hoisin. Washed down with a specialty craft beer and you’ve got yourself a meal to remember. Reservations are essential.
Food is excellent, drinks service was a little slow, but overall very good!
Food was yummy, service was lovely, very knowledgeable too about the menu and in general!
Great staff, good & beer menu. Always a favourite spot for a weekend lunch.
