KooKoo Teppanyaki and Lounge Bar

Saw the chef and his show through the window and decided it was worth a try. Was a delight. Our 11 yr old said it was the best restaurant ever. Food and entertainment was excellent.

Such a fun experience the whole family enjoyed and the food was amazing!!

We come here every time we are down at surfers for a couple of nights been about 12 times it’s always fun it’s amazing how good food can taste with butter and garlic and the cocktails are on point great place there is a reason it has been open for so long

1st visit to KooKoo and our chef was from another Teppanyaki restaurant i had visited elsewhere on the GC he is excellent, great Teppen chef and very entertaining, the Cocktails were awesome and at a reasonable price compared to other places on the GC.. will go back for an oter visit

Great food and authentic experience. The staff absolutely made this a reason to walk back in the door again, they could teach many other businesses how to give exceptional customer service. We were blown away by them all. We were a party of 7 and this was my first time at a Teppanyaki restaurant, I loved every bit of it.

Fantastic atmosphere, excellent food, with great service and good value.

The chef was fantastic. The organisation was a bit of a mess and incredibly frustrating. We were given conflicting information and were feeling very rushed; despite having a group of 15 we were not told we could all sit at the same table or about the set menus. After being pressured the third time we asked enough questions to figure that out. We were also charged for additions that weren't received (chips etc)

It was too loud for my liking. I would loved some chicken to sample but the cook only gave 5 people chicken and didn’t include us. Our rice was sticking on the grill and it didn’t taste as good.

I went there with my 7-year-old daughter. We went there hoping to try the kangaroo meat, which was softer and more delicious than we expected. The other dishes were also delicious. The atmosphere was fun and my daughter was delighted. The staff were also kind.
