The concept is almost as good as the food itself at Kosaten Japanese Restaurant in Hobart. Order via an iPad, then watch your food speedily arrive on a mini bullet train. This makes for a fun experience, but the food is seriously good. Sushi is the speciality, with endless varieties of nigiri and rolls. There are plenty of side dishes, from oysters to miso soup, while there’s also plenty of vegetarian sushi options. Kosaten Japanese Restaurant really has thought of everything, in that there are places to sit solo, booths for small groups and even private rooms to rent for larger groups. The concept, coupled with the great food in a modern restaurant, makes for a unique experience at this Battery Point eatery.
