La Scala Cafe & Pizzeria

The food was average. I had the Italiano pizza and my friend had the puttenesco pasta. Not impressed by either. The initial service was good, but after our meals were delivered we were ignored. Nobody came to check if we were happy with our meals and we sat with dirty dishes in front of us for over an hour until we asked for boxes our leftovers.

Wide range of choices for lunch. Spacious seating, not crammed in, nice atmosphere.

We had the benefit of being seated in the function room. our table of 6 were the only ones in this room, the reason we were in this room was because are allocated table was given to someone else.

A couple of the dishes (pasta, salad) appeared freshly prepared. However the fish/seafood dishes were poor- appeared precooked and then microwaved, to the point that the calamari was rubbery and inedible.

Great tasty food, with a wide selection of choices. Everyone in our party of 8 loved their meals that came out in a timely manner. The girls were great at clearing the table as required. I don't know why there was a small jar of brown sugar on the table but no Salt & Pepper. We chose Meat & Chicken Mains rather than Pasta in this instance as the price seemed better value. Will definitely come back to try a pasta dish next time. Only tiny complaint that the chairs aren't the comfy ones in the picture.

despite the restaurant being very busy it was all good.

Good food except it annoys me eating prawns with the tail left on! Fair enough for finger food but trying to fish the prawns out of my pasta just so i could tail them before eating annoys me!!

Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. We all enjoyed our meal. Good value.

Great meals and coffee the staff were excellent sorbet was yummy

The service was really nice especially the man always gave us a big smile!
