La Vela Restaurant

definitely one of the best restaurants in the area. Can be noisy at times, but good on Sunday night.

The food was lovely and excellent value for money (particularly because we had an Entertainment card). Really enjoyed our meal. However we waited 45 minutes to place our order, the waitress was rude and we were asked whether we wanted veggies or salad with one of the meals 3 times and it still came out wrong.

Great food and terrific service as always. Will be back soon

Food and atmosphere was very good but service could have been better. No offer of more drinks throughout meal and staff hadn’t tried meals to be able to provide information on them

Good simple Italian food. The half chicken dish was a winner .

La Vela is a lovely small restaurant with a family feel. The staff are also very helpful and friendly and the food is delicious!

Have had better meals previously. Ambiance has declined and meal was not as advertised on specials board. Had vegetarian with us and chicken dish did nor specify that bacon was ingredient included.

First timer. Loved the complimentary food as soon as we sat down. Staff and service was great. Food was amazing. Great value for money. Our Starters came really quickly which was great but we felt it was a bit too long for us to get our mains. We had an early dinner and arrived at 6pm and when we left it was getting really full and obviously very popular. Would definitely be back again.

Good food good atmosphere for family dinning . Garlic bread was yummy as well as spaghetti Mariana. Plenty of delicious desert to choose from. I was happy with the meal, would definitely recommend

Kids' meals, especially the tortellini with cream sauce (entree size) tasted badly of burnt garlic. When mentioned to wait staff, they said they will let the chef know... no other comment. Chicken Parmigiana needed side salad or similar to complement all of the tomato flavour - it was a bit much of the same flavour on everything. My memories of dining here a few years ago was that it was better then. Very noisy - had to almost yell to be heard over the table next to us.

Great cosy restaurant. Suprisingly bigger on inside than outside. Little bit dated decor Friendly staff and very efficient service. Entree seafood share plate beautiful just enough and the fish was so soft and tasty. My main was Chicken Lugano and was large serve and deliciois. My partner had Beef fillet with Dianne Sauce and although yummy the steak was two small pieces and a little bit tough. Definetly will go back and try some of the other dishes as the menu had lots of choices. 5 out 6. Very satisfied.

Good Italian food, excellent range of vegetarian dishes. Service is quietly efficient and friendly. Easy to park nearby. If you want authentic Italian food try this restaurant.

Food was fresh and fabulous!! Staff very polite and attentive. Would definitely recommend. Been there several times now and have never been disappointed. Great place!

Fantastic service coupled with fantastic food . It was a lovely experience and highly recommended . The portions and food quality were exceptional . The drinks were also mixed perfectly and desert was a delight. A definite place to frequent. For the service and food quality it also wasn't an expensive venture either. 6 Stars

Great staff, very accomodating and helpful. Food was yummy, best garlic bread ever! Meals came promptly and were nice and hot. Prices fair, highly recommend.

The staff were very friendly and were knowledgeable when questioned on aspects of the menu. The meal arrived quite quickly. The food was delicious and overall we had an excellent evening

We asked the waitress if we could sit at another table which was empty and in a corner but she said no cause it would be in the way of people getting in and out of the kitchen! It didn't really make sense cause the table was not in the middle at all whereas the table we were offered was completely in the way! The steak and calamari were ok but sadly the chicken dishes were completely bland and dry. Overall, it wasn't a very good experience and to be quite honest, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Great food, lovely service and a great atmosphere. I would recommend it, if you would like a solid meal relaxed atmosphere and great value for money.

It was the first time we had been there and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves...the food was delicious, the prices fair, the proportions generous and it had a great atmosphere. Would definitely go there again and LOVE that it is BYO !

Meals were tasty. Good portion size. Service was good however restaurant was very crowded and noisy. We had a table for six but could barely hear each other due to a large noisy table. That is the luck of the draw !!

Busy little place, great food but menu and portion sizes are shrinking, sadly not the prices! Staff are very good and service is quick. And who doesn't love free arancini balls!

Always a great experience enjoyable food and good service. Have been going there for many years and keep going back. Like the BYO choice as well.
