Lakeview Cafe

My parents and I had a lovely breakfast here this morning. The coffee and food were great, and it’s a very nice location to be in a garden centre, looking out amongst the plants and trees. Thank you 🙏

We’ve come here for years but it’s not the same anymore. We met friends for coffee and found the staff very disorganised. Two couples ordered together, one couple received their order and the other waited 10 minutes longer for their coffee and cake. The order when received was wrong. They had run out of scones and some juices by 10am.

Disappointed. Booked a particular table for 12 people. In spite of a written request and telephone confirmation regarding the seating arrangement, we arrived to find “our” table had been given to a group of 8 people. Service was poor. Crows all over tables eating left over food. Was uncomfortably hot.

You always have to book a table at the weekend. It's a great settling and the food is lovely. They have nice cakes. I have had lunch before and the servings are big.

This is a regular visit for me. Never been disappointed yet. Lovely staff, great setting, great food.

My table was as I'd pre-booked it. Service was excellent, lovely staff.

The service was good, the food was good however looking at the menus was not appealing at all. They were paper and dirty with food and coffee stains on them and partially torn. Surely they could have taken the time to laminate them.

Happy service. Busy, but did not have to wait long to order food. Well presented, tasty. Wo der what can be done to reduce overall Noise.

Have dined here many times and have always found it to be a very pleasant experience.

We waited a very long time for coffee with people after us getting coffee before us. Two people at our table ordered food and had finished eating for at least 15 minutes before coffees arrived. I ordered a soy flat white and it was the worst soy milk coffee I have ever had. - it tasted like it may have been almond milk, not soy - too bad if I had a nut allergy!!! We have never had any problems with your cafe before, but today was definitely not good, sorry.

booked table was not available as they'd forgotten to reserve it. I had quiche. salad & fries - salad was undressed, chips were over cooked and quiche wasn't fresh. all in all quite disappointing, won't bother again

Food great, staff friendly, no long waits. The sun was shining today.

As always, outstanding in every respect, but the friendliness and competence of the staff deserve special mention. Going there is always like visiting friends.

Just stopped for coffee no food. A could have been a bit warmer but we didn’t ask for the heater so our problem

Pleasant day one meal was great the other bruchetta wasnt so nice , tomato was too big should b sliced too much cheese partner said it was horrible

A very busy cafe. Hot chocolate was disappointing (very watery) but eggs florentine were good but not runny. Eaten here many times and overall it is good service and food.

The cafe, staff, food & drinks were all great 👌Unfortunately one of our group has vestibular migraine (loud noise can be a problem for her)& we chose the Lakeview cafe as it is outside, with shade. Unfortunately there was lots of generator-type noise coming from Waldecks, so our friend with the sensitivity to noise was not able to stay very long. It is a shame, as I've been to the cafe before & remember it being lovely & peaceful.

Coffee came after meal finished and 2 requests as to where they where

When I went up to order our lunch we were told they had lost power and the kitchen was closed. Consequently we left feeling very hungry.

We were on table 2 the only table without a QR code for ordering. Nevertheless, everyone gets in a queue and the line moved quickly.

Excellent food and service. All facilities clean and staff very friendly.

One of our big breakfast orders was few errors. Changed the mushrooms for bake beans yet the mushrooms were still on the plate when served and no bacon. They said we asked no bacon. Still paid full price so when queried should have still then supplied bacon. Breakfast without bacon is not our thing. Bit disappointed this visit.

A lovely location. Great food and service. We were initially reserved at the play area which we didn't want but we were given a table near the cafe instead, which was great.

Food,price, staff all were amazing ,very happy and sat near the playground for my toddler and overall couldn't be happier

Our family get-together over lunch was a happy event, but as a couple of us don’t choose to eat meat, dairy or eggs, we felt the menu could do with a good tweaking. Apart from that, thanks guys for a happy time 😃
