With such an intimate atmosphere, Lola Cocina on Alexander Street is the perfect place in Sydney’s Crows Nest for a romantic date or an evening spent catching up with friends. You could split a bottle of wine while snacking on a spectacular sharing board like the plato de carne (a tantalising tray of grilled beef, pork belly, cheese-stuffed meatballs, smoky chorizo, Spanish rice and more) or tuck into some of Lola Cocina’s gorgeous tapas.
Dining as a group will allow you to sample as many delicious tapas as possible in cool surroundings on Crows Nest’s Alexander Street. Such tapas include bacalhau (smoked cod) croquettes, paprika-dusted calamari with saffron aioli, piquillo peppers stuffed with pine nuts and goats cheese, or a classic Spanish egg tortilla with potato and onion. As well as tapas, other tasty choices on offer at Lola Cocina in North Sydney include a selection of paellas, a beautiful linguine with tiger prawns and aged Spanish ham, and some crispy-golden chocolate churros to finish things off nicely.
Lovely food and ambience (very nice live Spanish guitarist on Thursday nights). Staff only too happy to oblige with table change, special request re menu dish etc. for fussy customers. We'll be back.
Beautiful food, amazing staff and excellent service. We had dinner here on a Friday evening, a little busy. However, the food came out in a steady order and there was little to no wait. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent Sangria Very friendly staffs Could feel the Spanish vibes. Definitely will be back. Affordable prices. Small and very comfy restaurant. Loved the paella Mariscos
Great food and friendly staff. We'll be back again! Best paella in a very long timr and the sangria is amazing! Perfect for a birthday dinner
We had a good night. Disappointed at the beginning as our outside table was far removed from the restaurant lacking any ambience and seemed like an afterthought. It was my sons birthday and I mentioned on booking I had chosen Thursday because of the guitarist who was tucked away inside so we couldn't hear it. Anyway there was a rather lively and cheeky Kookaburra who kept us amused, he was also waiting for his dinner as hungry as us I think and when the meal finally arrived it was worth the wait. We had all you can eat and we weren't disappointed. The night continued to improve when we were moved inside enabling us to enjoy the guitarist, more food and great sangria. The service was friendly and attentive and the evening was topped off with "happy birthday" on the guitar. Thank you. We will be coming back :)
Lola Cocina Spanish Restaurant has delicious food and a great atmosphere. It was lovely to have live music playing, though at times it was a little too loud for such a small restaurant.
Good good , great service Will return one day with a big mob well done ramesh and fellow nepalese chef cheers, love the churros and the steak john k
2nd visit to Lola and the food is always great. The staff continue to be courteous and friendly, adding to the welcoming and warm atmosphere!
For a quiet Sunday night the service was pleasant but somewhat slow. It was an extremely humid evening yet the front was open making the restaurant hot and uncomfortable. The food was okay but I probably won't go back.
