Lone Star Rib House - Top Ryde

I ordered a steak and it was bland and dry. Service was abysmal. The food was already on our table before they even realised they didn't give us any cutlery. I asked for some tomato sauce for my chips and the waitress forgot about it. I had to call another waiter to again request for the tomato sauce. One of the reasons we went here was because they had a free steak knife promo for Father's day. When I tried to claim it, the waitress made up a flimsy excuse that they were all out. What? We went there during lunch. You have hundreds of steak knives. I even used one when I ate my steak!!! Next time don't advertise a promotion if you can't keep it. That ruined my Father's day. Suffice it to say, we won't be coming back to this restaurant.

Party of 3 who all experienced terribly tough and overpriced ribs. Would not reccomend and will not be visiting again. Disappointment all round. Waste of time

Food servings were generous and nice. Pecan pie was very good. Ribs were large but not fully tender. Restaurant was a little cold and we needed to move table.

Service was crap. Wait staff talking to each other when supposed to be serving. Got a bit better as the night progressed as it became busier

My steak was a little over cooked, more medium well than medium rare that I ordered however my partners ribs were great and wings for entree were really good. Plenty of chips and salad on both meals and staff were quick to assist and service was good. I would go again.

Food was nice but I’d expect more than a mouthful of brisket for $31. The Brisket was swamped with coleslaw and capsican to hide the size.

The staff were friendly and considering they were busy, the service was in a timely manner. The food came out nice and hot. The only negative, there was too much dressing on the salad.

The food was nice and whilst a little pricey, the size of the serves compensated. One point for concern was the length of time that prepared foods sat on the pass before they were delivered to the customers. The restaurant wasn't overly busy and there was really no excuse. There was enough options for non-beef eating customers if you go with a small group but you probably wouldn't go there if you are by yourself (and don't eat beef). I would go back.

The food was good and served within good timeframes from ordering. The service was outstanding - friendly, personable, efficient, and courteous. Restaurant was clean and comfortable.

Great restaurant with a good Texan atmosphere. Huge servings and delicious hearty meals. Service was good until after our meals were served then we never saw our waitress again as she was too busy cleaning up the bar area so she could get out of the restaurant early. So we sat for @ 30 mins with dirty plates and leftovers in front of us making us feel very uncomfortable until I could finally catch someone's eye to clear it.

Great food, great service, great decor, clean and comfortable restaurant. The NFL and NBA playing on the big screen is a huge bonus. Definitely recommend.

Birthday lunch with colleagues. Great service, clean atmosphere apart from the loan pigeon that wandered in off the street. Food was great, happy to call back again. We even got a complimentary Brownie.

Good food, friendly staff, slow service considering there were not many customers. There were more staff than there were tables so that shouldn’t of happened

For the price there is a lot of food on the plate. The ribs and steaks are good quality and cooked well. The service was friendly.

We weren't happy with the food or the service. My wife and friends girlfriend got the chicken schnitzel parmigiana (which sounded nice on the menu) and we were shocked to see what we received. It was dry and there was no sauce. We asked for extra sauce and got two little servings of cold sauce. The steak I had was average. The only thing that was ok was the ribs my mate ordered. The nacho loaded fries were terrible. We definitely won't be going back there again.

We had a wonderful time dining at Lone Star in Top Ryde Shopping Centre. Service was excellent and food was very delicious. It's my father's birthday a few days ago, he is a loyalty member of the restaurant and they gave him a complimentary main meal and beer for his birthday, very generous of them. Thank you :)

Meal was fine - large servings. Service was fine. Live music was nice touch. Didn't try dessert but looked they looked OK. No beer on tap.

Great atmosphere - live music and friendly staff. Delicious mains but desserts tasted prepacked. Wet, cloth serviettes with ribs would've been a lot less messy.

the food was nice, we got a wrong meal didn't realise till a couple of bites in. the chicken breast needed a sauce to go with it but ok.

Quality is not the same as it used to be. Steak had no flavour and was smaller than it used to be. Not happy with my visit and will not be visiting again.

Nice food, great location! The cheesy fries are great! Burgers are huge! Chicken burger is great, highly recom!! Beef ribs are too chewy, rumps are tender and better! Excellent service! Will definitely come back again!

A great experience, with all the cowboy stuff and so on. Granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed herself. Live band was a bonus. Great service and easy 3 hour free parking. Only downer was a slightly overcooked steak. The offer to cook a fresh steak was rejected because of a timing issue, but an unsolicited discount was given at the till. Smaller portions would be great - rib and hot dog portions were too generous.

We had dinner last night for my husband's birthday, and we had a fantastic time! The variety of food that we ordered were all excellent. We also had a lovely waitress by the name of Jameekah who have been so entertaining and helpful in terms of recommending options to us (we loved the 'out-of-this-world' chicken wings!). The food was fantastic - and served really quickly. Drinks took a little while to come and when we asked for water for the table we got small cups and no bottle so we had to keep asking for more. The staff were lovely.

Like a genuine Texan eatery! Great food & lots of it. Best ribs had in Australia. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Will definitely be back for food, frequently.

Lovely birthday dinner with complimentary birthday brownie dessert. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Service was good too, plenty of wait staff to attend to us. Definitely going again.
