Lone Star Rib House - Tuggerah

The best part of our experience was our waiter, who really did all he could to help us. Things went downhill fast from there - although they say they have gluten free options available, their signature item, ribs, is not among them, as they use wheaten cornflour in the sauces they cook with. They offered me a single serve of "all you can eat ribs" without the sauce, which I accepted & went to the supermarket & bought a bottle of commercial sauce I could eat. After 1.5 hours we finally received our ribs, on which the beef ribs were cold in the middle & the half rack of pork ribs was only 3 ribs that were rather overcooked. Gluten free catering is not that difficult, but if you're going to not make an effort to assist those of us with such allergies & intolerances, please be hones about it so we can dine somewhere else without ruining our night out.

Went here for father in laws birthday...great food amazing service all round great place Id definitely reccomend this restaurant to others. You wont be dissapointed

The staff were lovely & very helpful & the restaurant was clean, however, at the time we arrived they had run out of lots of meals (we had a 6.16pm booking). They forgot to bring out sauces with our meals, add ons that we ordered & drinks. My niece ordered kids pizza & after they had delivered everyone else’s meals then told her they had run out & could she have nuggets instead? It was ok, but we will not be returning

Meals a big which you get value for your money. Staff were friendly and helpful all night. The tables were clean and stable which caused nil issues

3/10 guests got food 30 min before anyone else, one meal 40min after first. asked for no bacon on schnitzel got bacon, chickwings cold arriving.

Considering it was quiet it took ages for food to come out. We then had to ask for cutlery twice and they forgot the salad with 1 of the meals. Staff not rude but not friendly. They then rushed my daughters birthday dessert and made us feel like we had to hurry up as they where packing up around us. Food was ok. Steak was very small burger buns cold and patty’s for burgers half the size of bun.

Great plate sizes, quality food, solid service. Very happy with Lone Star! Definitely one of the best places for dinner (or lunch) at Tuggerah. Thanks!

Not overly impressed with the food anymore. Onion rings were soggy, chicken wings and burgers were just average. Meals did not come out at the same time. We used to love Lone Star will probably not return anymore as we have not been happy with the food the last few times we went there.

We loved the surprise of kids eat free with every main meal and the $4 cocktails it was a pleasure dinning with a family of 4 for a great price and Quality !!

The food was good. The service was a bit disappointing, lots of staff there but we had to ask for the dirty plates to be removed from our table

The staff and our waiter in particular couldn't have been more helpful. Everybody at our table of seven enjoyed the food apart from one who said his ribs were way too fatty, Helpings are very generous and prices are reasonable. We'll be back for sure.

The food was excellent and service was brilliant. We did not have to wait long for our meals or drinks and the staff were friendly and never too far away.

The beer was flat, the toilets were unavailable and the ribs on the menu were not available. The team were friendly and the food was enjoyable.

Excellent service. Our waiter was exceptional. Food was good- although a little slow - which was ok as we got to spend time socialising while we waited.

For price, relatively low quality food. Regardless, the major issue is a total lack of consistent service leaving our group waving our arms to be noticed just to order after having been seated for quite some time.

Great food, fantastic service! Lovely staff. Everything was lovely, had the ribs and they were absolutely delicious and huge! Took the rest home in a take away container provided by helpful staff.

Very enjoyable meal, staff extremely helpful, efficient and pleasant. Alternative found for unavailable menu choice. Steaks cooked exactly as ordered. Looking forward to eating there again.

Took nearly an hour for anyone to come and take our order,kept having to chase down kids meal and forgot to add our entree’s to the order.

The meals were nice but gluten-free was not catered for in their specials. All you could eat ribs and wings was a good combination, wife had to order a rack of ribs with no sauce. Very disappointing

The food was great. The staff were fantastic, very obliging, made out night great, will certainly be back again. We had a little autistic boy with us and they were more than helpful and understanding .

The service was appalling . The food was poor. No utensils or setviettes on table. Had to ask 5 times for a jug of water. Wont be back

Service was crap. After first drink was offered we waited an hour for next one. 1.5 hour wait on mains, no table service beyond dropping off food. Terrible.

Ordered a medium rare rump steak and it came out really chewy and bounced on my plate but other then that everything was perfect. Your employees were very nice

It was over 1.5 hours before we ate after arriving. The restaurant ran out of tomato sauce and despite being located in a shopping centre, could not go and purchase more sauce? Very disappointing experience. At $38 a steak, you expect decent service.

The staff at Lone Star were great, very friendly and professional. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!

We all got the all you can eat ribs and wings 2 ribs and a heap of wings I want fussed wouldn’t get that again

The waitress was very rude and we had to ask for someone to serve us after waiting a long time to get served. Service was also very slow.

No coke, no garlic bread available at 6:30pm on a Thursday night! Admittedly between Christmas Day and New Year but still, who is ordering the supplies for Lonestar Tuggerah??? Service was ok, though our peanuts that we asked for several times never arrived. Food that we could actually order was good.

Absolutly shocking services, we waited over an qhour an a half for food after ordering and then the kids were still waiting fir five minutes after we all got our food, would not recomend a night out for dinner at Loan Star Tuggerah

Considering the restaurant was nearly empty the service was pretty poor. We didn’t even get our complimentary peanuts! My sister had to take them off an empty table!

Staff were helpful but they seemed under staffed. Sometimes drinks took a long time (15-20mins) and one meal was forgotten. Food was tasty as always.

We had a great time at Lone Star Tuggerah for a family get together. The food was great and the service could not be faulted. Good work guys

Big meals. Kids eat free over the school holidays. Can’t go past all you can eat ribs and wings. Great staff and great family atmosphere

Great food...staff was great esp when they served my son's meal first when they realised he was throwing tantrums...i love the bucket of peanuts while waiting for the meal.

Service was good but food was crap.Order was wrong steaks not cooked right. The whole night was very disappointing. Will not be going back ever.

Food was average, probably overpriced for what you get. My Dad ordered a medium steak for $34.95 and it was the smallest blackest steak we’ve ever seen. We made a joke of it but it seriously was the worst steak I’ve seen.

Service was fantastic and the meal was beautiful. The only complaint was we were waiting for about 5 minuets to pay the bill, then the girl didn’t know how to process our entertainment book voucher

Overall food was good and Service was a bit hit and miss. Facility was Clean and staff was friendly enough. Food was good and cooked throughly

Generous serving sizes. Quick service. Friendly. Was concerned they were going to get the order right as when they repeated the order back to me it was wrong, BUT it did end up being correct.

Food was only warm. Hard to get servers attention. Extra food took a long time to arrive, and server mixed up drink order adding additional drink to bill.
