We had great service by friendly staff all night so no complaints there. However, later in the night after getting home from dinner I decided to check the receip, as upon reflection of the evening I thought it seemed very expensive, especially considering we used the entertainment card. If only I had thought to read the receipt properly at the time of paying, but obviously that's on me and my own stupidity! I ordered what I thought was the "not so big" Cowboy cut prime rib steak for $29.95 with gravy. My receipt however showed I ordered the "big" prime rib for $37.95. Now I'm not sure if this was entered in wrong at the till or if they way overcharge for their "big" steaks, as what I had seemed the right size for what I ordered. I had unfortunately also missed the part on the menu where sauce was an extra $2.50. I can't say I've dined anywhere before where I've had to pay for sauce to go with my steak! A tiny little jug of gravy for $2.50 is a rip off quite frankly, but again that's my own fault. And $4.95 for a small bottle of fanta and $4.50 for a glass of apple juice for the kids also seems excessive. So whilst the food itself was nice enough (other than my steak, chips and salad not being worth $40) and the service being good, we will not be in any hurry to return.
Only one waitstaff at front till 1200. He was trying very hard to take orders, make drinks and upsell at the same time. There was one runner but I can sense that he was not trained to be on the floor yet so he reluctantly helped. Your staff roster needs to adjust to suit the location and meal period. People who come to the shops may dine early and starting your staff at 1100 ish may help ease the burden on the existing staff. We had to wait for more than half an hour for the meal but the steaks were good and the price was also reasonable. This is not a complaint but to help improve your service. I saw quite a few unhappy diners leaving the restaurant today and thought to drop you a line. I am an ex-hospitality manager and a current hospitality lecturer who can relate to usual operational problems but from constructive feedbacks, we all can improve. Thanks to the young man served our table today.
I came to Lone Star - Riverton with my family and friends to celebrate my birthday. Staff is very friendly! Meals are awesome and not very expensive. Will come again and would recommend it to others.
We must go there at least Fortnightly. The Food is always good, and the service is fantastic. We eat out a lot, but the server Michael is one of the best we have seen in years. Nothing is ever too much, he is always smiling and helpful. He has talked us into dessert more times than we dare admit. He is an asset to them. Well done.
The service was outstanding. The staff genuinely wanted the service and food to be great for us. Chicken wings were fantastic and freshly made. Ribs? I’m not sure they were freshly prepared. They were tough and temperature varies throughout the ribs. It seemed like they were reheated. So the BBQ sauce made them taste ok. The steaks weren’t the best quality. We ordered fillets. The prices were almost fine dining prices but the ribs and steak were nothing great. It’s a steakhouse so you’d think their product would be top notch. Again the waitstaff were the best bit.
Food was amazing and the service fast and efficient. Only downer was a couple female staff that were running past constantly were making me cold. I understand they were just trying to get the job done faster but running inside a restaurant was a bit much.
