Most enjoyable meal, served piping hot and at just the right times, by attentive, but no over-weaning, staff. Nice background music could just be heard over the really quite well attenuated general noise. All in all a good experience well worth a return visit.

Food delicious and host very obliging. We both had French onion soup. I had seaperch for main & hubby had seafood boullabaise. Both excellent.

Delicious food. Understated restaurant. Really tasty, well cooked and presented dishes. I will definitely return. The French menu dinner service is only available Wednesday through to Saturday evenings. Bouillabaisse was delicious with plenty of seafood and served with the traditional accompaniments. Everything else (starters and main courses) were excellent. From the looks of the well presented dishes that were being served to the other tables that we could see and the empty cleared plates other diners were equally as satisfied.

Booked on line, made easy change to booking and table was waiting when we arrived. We go for the crumbed brains and one other item. Everything is amazing. The lunch deals are great value.

Staff were reluctant to take our orders. Appr 20 -25 mins from sitting down. And it didn't seem that it was overly busy. Food was good and service did improve after the initial delay.

There is nothing sophisticated about the venue; simple cafe type place. But, it is quiet, and the food is authentic French old style. The French onion soup, pate, moules, cassoulet, bouillabaisse, creme brulee etc are all as they should be. 3 courses for $41 or if a la carte about $60. And bring your own wine if you want!

Mandolins is a welcome addition to the local area. We were given prompt & efficient service. The menu had a wide variety of entrees, mains & desserts including vegetarian options. The emphasis was on modern French dishes. Mandoline also offers a 2 course lunch for $22 or a 2 course dinner for $32 which is good value. Definitely recommend to others.

We were a group of 10 and all enjoyed delicious food, wine and coffee. Great to see some less common items on the menu along with a few faves. The $29 lunch deal is extremely good value - 2 courses and a glass of wine from the wine list. Already planning to return soon.
