More about the restaurant: Mian G Restaurant
Mian G is an Indian restaurant where the food does all the talking. It’s a humble restaurant in the Allawah neighbourhood of Sydney and the team here are quite convinced that it’s their menu offering the most genuine taste of India and Pakistan in this part of town. And we’re quite inclined to agree, as it happens, as everything at Mian G, from the tandoori starters right through to the sharing platters, is tip-top and damn delicious. You’ll find Mian G Restaurant on Railway Parade – easily accessed by all in Allawah and worth heading to armed with a reservation.

Thinking about making a Mian G Restaurant booking?
There’s a good quote from Virginia Woolf that Mian G Restaurant likes to use: “One cannot think, love or sleep well if one has not dined well.” This is apt, of course, because at Mian G you’ll certainly be dining well on some seriously good Indian and Pakistani food. As we said earlier, the food is very much the star of the show here in this part of Sydney, meaning this dining space on Allawah’s Railway Parade is simple and no-frills, but remains a pleasant and comfortable spot to enjoy a proper fill of spice and rice.
What can you expect from the menu? Well, it offers quality over quantity and standout dishes for us include the Bombay beef, the tangy mango chicken and the achari chicken. Between Tuesday and Thursday, Mian G Restaurant offers generous deal at lunch time and, unusually for an Indian restaurant in Sydney, the selection of desserts is a delight. Allawah knows it can rely on Mian G, so be assured that you can, too.
