This fabulous venue on the corner of Hampden Road and South Street has always been a popular spot in Hobart’s historic Battery Point, but it’s never been quite as cool as it is now. Milli Vinilli Cafe & Wine Bar is sleek and chic but cosy and rustic, with old-timey knick-knacks and quirky wine paraphernalia dotted between stylish modern furniture and design. Milli Vinilli keeps the Battery Point brunch institution going strong, with a range of breakfast and brunch meals that are more than a few cuts above normal cafe expectations, but it’s really during the evening that this Hampden Road haunt hits its stride. As the ‘wine bar’ in the name suggests, this is one of Battery Point’s best places for discerning drinkers, with an impressive cellar of various vintages. It’s not only about wine, though, with plenty of other great tipples on offer, and nobody would blink an eye if you were to head to Milli Vinilli simply for the superb meals, too.
