Moti Mahal Indian Restaurant

We arrived at 6pm with a party of 4. We had to ask twice for glasses of water. Usually pappadams are put on the table straight away - that took about half an hour or more. Entrees of one dish of 4 mushrooms was served at about 7:15 after asking numerous times when the food would be coming. 1st main meal came about half an hour later, 1.5+ hours after we ordered. The next dishes came about 10 minutes later. 10 minutes after that, the waitress came out with another dish, apologising that they'd given us one wrong meal. The waitress really tried, but the boss wasn't interested and gave no explanation when we commented about the tardiness of the meal. I can only conclude that they weren't prepared for the evening and hadn't done the necessary food preparation. A table who arrived a while after us was served first as well. Ironically, the 1 mushroom I had for entrees was the nicest dish. The rest of the food was OK, but not great. We won't be back.

This was our first visit to Moti Mahal Indian. We love Indian food and have been to India. The decor is smart with very comfortable proper chairs. However, Once full it did get very noisy. It completely filled up so you need to book. The food here was excellent - we had paratha, butter chicken and lamb korma which were excellent and Amaritsa fried fish for entree which was delicious with a crispy outside and moist inside. Highly recommended.
