Book a table at Yen For Viet and head on into Marrickville to see what they have to offer.
Great food very busy and staff were great - will go again
Exceptional Vietnamese cuisine, great atmosphere and service oriented team members
This little restaurant has a second one in Alexandra. Marrickville store is quite small, but the food is amazing, the customer service in quick and helpful. The hole fish in tamarind sauce is yummy as is the caramelised pork in the pot. Definite return customer.
Vietnamese food in Sydney means Marrickville, the city’s very own Little Saigon. There are countless pho-nominal restaurants to choose from in the area, so you’ll always be spoiled for choice, but if you want something from the real top table, then take a trip to Yen For Viet. Their menu is focussed on the classics of the genre, from pho and papaya salad to rice paper rolls, salt and pepper tofu or stir-fried prawns with a satay chilli sauce.
This traditional Vietnamese restaurant is tastefully, minimally decorated – the focus here is on taking your seats and ordering up all the delicately-flavoured delicacies you know and love, and a few less-travelled variations, too. Get yourself a classic crispy pancake with tofu for vegetarians, pork and prawn, or luxurious duck, or do the DIY wrap-it-up with Wagyu beef or whole snapper. Of course, we couldn’t pho-get the pho – here at Yen For Viet its renowned as being particularly good – and available with premium Wagyu beef as well. Book a table and get over to Illawarra Road in Marrickville for a proper Viet feed in Sydney.
