Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. We encourage people to still support the restaurant industry in other ways.Learn how
The Bondi Golf Club has been putting and driving since 1935, making it one of Sydney’s oldest golf clubs, famous for its stunning Eastern Suburbs clifftop location in Bondi. Members here are a privileged set, playing the royal and ancient game on hallowed ground – before the lawns were installed this was a sacred site to the Aboriginal Kamilaroi tribe. What’s more, Bondi Golf Club’s Military Road address is home to Ocean View a restaurant whose name says it all – almost – and whose menu is packed with Australian culinary classics. Book for snacks and a stroll to the 18th hole, dinner, or drinks.
Very well cooked steaks and delicious seafood platters. Good wines on list too to go with the excellent views across the bay. Thanks very much.
Fantastic - we all enjoyed the food and service provided was great - I would recommend this venue to friends and family looking for a great place to eat great food.
Great food, beer, service and views. The scotch fillet with garlic was unreal. It is a hidden gem because it was relatively uncrowded, Sweeping views of Bondi
It’s fitting that Ocean View at Bondi Golf Club spruiks its famous seafood platter – just look at that view from Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs out over the sea! Order this lavish number for two or four people and be treated to a market-fresh selection of grilled barramundi, Atlantic salmon, barbecued prawns, octopus and squid. Looking to tee off with a simple snack? BLTs and beef burgers, Scotch fillet steaks, and toasties are all available. However, it’s for evening meals that this exclusive Bondi restaurant comes into its own, with an international selection of dishes such as tandoori-marinated chicken to start, King Island sirloin steak or corn-fed chicken with chilli eggplant for the main event, and delicious desserts including traditional sticky date pudding and a selection of King Island cheeses to finish.
There’s more yet to take in when you visit Ocean View at Bondi Golf Club down Military Road. Keep your eyes peeled not just for badly sliced golf balls but for the packed events schedule at this venerable Sydney clubhouse, many of which are food and drinks oriented. Melbourne Cup day is, of course, a special event here: take a punt on the meat raffle for a big feed when you get home or indulge in the special seafood carvery buffet with complimentary Champagne. In fact every Thursday night is meat raffle night – make sure you free up some space in your freezer. Come Friday – thank goodness – Ocean View at Bondi Golf Club throws a cocktail party with cut-price concoctions.
