Okami - Chelsea Heights

Not greeted at the door by staff, there was no front of house. We could see staff milling around with food dishes. After a few minutes someone gestured us towards a couple of booths and we guessed which one they meant. Sat there for another ten minutes waiting for someone to take our order, then decided that we'd be better off not eating at this restaurant, picked up our things and walked out

Absolutely love this place. Not only is the food always amazing, the service is incredible so quick and friendly.

Food was fresh and delicious and it was very efficiently served.

We had a 7.45 booking with friends we hadn’t seen for a while by the time we ordered a drink and had a chat we ordered food but then told kitchen was closing shortly and last orders we left a bit hungry.

First time to Okami, 3rd time to Japanese food. Went with mixed group, most hadnt been Japanese before. All loved it. Restaurant is a little noisy, OK to hear each other in small groups but hard down a long table. Wait staff are extremely attentive and have a great system to get their attention with a flip card. Little expensive, but all Japanese seems to be due to labour intensity I believe. Would go again!
