I was really excited to try Omasa but sadly it was a huge disappointment. Firstly, you can only have the buffet- you are unable to order a main dish so if you don’t think you can eat $45 of sushi then definitely don’t come. The food was really terrible. The squid was so tough … it was like chewing car tyres. The special fried rice was literally rice with carrot and peas, no flavour or taste. Everything is mass produced, we asked if we could just have a plate of the chicken sushi to prevent wasting the other. We were told no, so then ordered 3 platters to have the chicken that we wanted. The staff will bring six plates of the same dish and deliver to the tables. We ordered various meat and rice but the rice didn’t come until the meat was cold. You are not served as a table it’s just dish by dish, The series slow and awful. I had to afk to have the table cleared and the waitress rolled her eyes at me!! Our bill was $325 for 2 adults, 3 teenagers and a child. We could have gone to a sushi restaurant and paid less than half for what was ate and we certainly didn’t think the food was of restaurant standard.
We had a great meal, enjoyed the concept. Will be back
Great food, great staff, great prices. Food portions for all you can eat were quite generous. Staff were attentive.
Amazing food, great experience, will be back, went with family and they loved it !
Tonight we went to this restaurant again with my family, and it was once again packed with customers. The waitstaff provided excellent service — when my son cut his hand, the waiter even gave him a band-aid. The dishes were all quite good; the kids especially enjoyed the teriyaki beef, fried rice, and ice cream. The only drawback, in my opinion, was that the variety of sushi was a bit limited.
Good value, good variety, quick service and friendly staff. Worth to try. Definitely will come back again
Great service. Only downfall was the sushi rice was a soggy. Great food and variety.
I recently visited Osama Japanese restaurant and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our meal. The food was fresh, tasty, and offered a good variety, definitely great value for an all-you-can-eat. The only small downside was that the service could have been a bit more attentive when it came to clearing plates from the table, as they started to build up at times. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall positive experience. Would happily come back again for the food and the relaxed vibe
The restaurant is very nice and clean Service is amazing , all staffs are very lovely, nice and friendly Foods are good Dessert are really bad, only 3 options… and they taste so bad 😩
Delicious food, prompt service and great value for money. Thankyou
The service is good and fast. The food is good for the price. Overall is an amazing experience
Food was ok, you get what you pay for! The woman serving us was quite rude & aggressive
Quick service..great selection..fresh sushi .. nice crunchy karage chicken .. value for money ..tried something different for a change and very impressed
Fantastic value. Would be good to have more salad options too. But overall an excellent menu.
The meal was disappointing. The rice was soggy, there was too much mayonnaise used, and the beef tataki were overwhelmed with dressing. The dumplings were watery, the fried squid did not taste fresh, and the beef was dry and tough. The taiyaki was also overly oily. Overall, it did not feel like authentic Japanese food.
The venue was cold and the food was very average and was brought to the table 15-20 minutes apart
When we arrived at the restaurant at 5:30 PM yesterday, it was already fully booked, showing its popularity. The restaurant’s ambiance, food, and service quality were also impressive, and the $43.9 all-you-can-eat Japanese cuisine offers great value for money.
Great selection of food and value for money! Loved our experience ❤️
This place is amazing! Can not recommend it enough. 👏🏻 We went with a large group of 9 - adults and kids - and everyone loved it. With this many people we usually expect a wait on food, but the service was very attentive and everything came out very quickly. All of the dishes that we tried were exceptional - and we tried nearly all of them! If you’ve not been before, basically you have a menu to order off, and you can order what ever you like in whatever quantity you like. Start of sampling, and then if you feel you need to, order more of what you loved, or try something new. You let the team know when you’re ready to order by flipping a little card on the table to red and they’ll serve you right away. Seating is for 90 minutes, which is more than enough time, given how quickly all the food comes out. So lovely to have such a brilliant restaurant join the Joondalup area. Well done Omasa - we will be back!
The salmon tasted off. We will not be returning there
The visit was amazing the food and staff was really good and I would recommend it to anyone.
Lovely food, great experience and would definitely go back again.
Great food. Need to dim the lighting. Will be returning soon
The food was amazing. No long wait times, food came out quickly. Friendly staff. We’ll definitely be back.
Great place. Service was good. Food was fresh and tasty
Amazing food and fast service would definitely recommend and most definitely be back
The Food was excellent and service exceptional. Will go again. Very impressed by the variety of choice. It will be perfect when they get licensed.
I was happy to be able to eat as much as I wanted of what I liked. The food was nice, I am really happy with their customer service.
Service was absolutely amazing, food was great and my family enjoyed there lunch, thank you for a great day
Got sat at a dirty table with dishes piled and food on the table. It was busy in the restaurant but you never sit customers at a dirty table. Took 20 mins before someone finally cleared the dishes and made an attempt to wipe the table with water condensation from the previous water bottle and one of the napkins left by the previous customers at that table. No one bothered to give it a sanitary wipe down. After that we were finally able to order our food and after an hour of being there in total we had finally received our food we had ordered. It was okay flavour wise but was not worth the price of $43.90. Not only that, but my partner and I wanted to order an alcoholic beverage to which we were told they couldn’t because they didn’t have the license. When they told us it was BYO it was not confirmed that on the confirmation email prior to us coming in nor was I contacted about it. On the menu it says BYO but only for wine. The waitress had also handed us the drink menu and not told us until after we tried to order alcohol. Very upset about this whole experience as my partner and I wanted to come out to celebrate our engagement and yet we left feeling disgusted, unsatisfied and honestly quite sick after eating the chicken karaage. Definitely not coming back!
Arrived at 6:00, Order didnt get taken until 6:30, when 7:30 rolled around out of the half a dozen things we ordered to start with we only received 2 and 1 was cold. Had 3 different staff come over after we had raised this issue and no one could give us an answer. hey then went on to say theres an issue with the ordering system yet everyone else was getting food and drink quite quickly. terrible service and terrible experience overall, wont be back
Great food, relaxed atmosphere, great value. Tip, don’t order too much at a time as you won’t get it all on the table, but that’s not a problem as the staff come around regularly, so that you can order more within your 90 minutes.
Fresh, fast, flavourful, worth the money! Highly recommended 👌🏻 Definitely going back again!
We had a lovely time here tonight! Going after the dinner rush, everything was smooth-running and very quick from 7:30pm onwards! Amazing quality food and a beautiful atmosphere!
Very poor service. Food came out either 45min later or not at all. Constantly had to ask for food over and over before it actually came out. When it came to dessert they said the ice cream machine was getting refilled. How can you have an all you can eat but not provide the food?
Food was amazing, so tasty and fresh. Staff were friendly and smiley. The vibe was great. We went to the Joondalup one and it was BYO. Service was a little slow but they were packed. I will definitely be going again and so will my other 11 family members that came with me.
Delicious food and pleasant staff. The restaurant was a little bright and noisy but it was packed. Plenty to eat.
Experience was okay, place was quite small and packed, service was good but waiting time was abit long but understandable as it was all you can eat. Would be must better and easier if each table was given a tablet to order on their own instead of having to keep calling waitstaffs as they can get busy delivering food. Food was also average, definitely could be better. Overall 6/10 😊
Great service , delicious food, very accomodating for families, will definitely return again
The food was okay for an all-you-can-eat restaurant, but the service system definitely needs improvement (though the staff themselves were friendly). We booked for 7:45 pm but weren’t seated until 8:05 pm. Our table wasn’t cleared until 8:32 pm, and our order wasn’t taken until around 8:40 pm. I understand they were busy, but it was disappointing to see other tables seated at the same time as us being served straight away. After our order arrived, I asked the table next to us if they had been served yet, and they hadn’t — so I had to reach out to staff again on their behalf. It felt like our corner table was overlooked. My husband had to approach staff multiple times just to get the table cleared and have our order taken. When the food finally arrived, the quality was fine but nothing special. We then had to rush our meal because the restaurant closes at 9:30 pm, and our last order wasn’t taken until right at closing. By 9:15 pm, it already felt like we were expected to leave, with staff making noise while clearing tables (including plates falling). Overall, it was okay to try once, but sadly, not a place we’d return to.
Great quality food, fast service, value for money, good location
Unfortunately it was not a nice experience. I went there to celebrate my bday and the service was not good, we were expecting all you can eat but in the end we have to get full combos with thing we didn’t want, the table were really close to each other, no privacy. I’m not coming back or recommending.
we had excellent food, however our table placement was basically in the foyer of the resturant so was very unappealing.
fantastic food, small menu but soooo delicious, we will defintiely be going back, wish it would open for lunch during the week as well.
Very disappointed with our experience. They only had two people taking orders for a very busy restaurant. We waited over half an hour for our dishes, some were missed entirely and never came. We had to re order and chase up dishes while other tables were getting non stop service in their allotted time. I don’t know what their table numbering system was but we had to turn staff away multiple times that were trying to deliver incorrect dishes to our table. Very disappointing experience for what appeared to be a well reviewed restaurant.
The food was delicious and was served promptly. As it got busier I did find the service to order more food slowed down. Overall a great experience and I will be back. Thank you Omasa team
Beautiful food, good service definitely value for money! We will return
The food was great. Friendly staff. Good experience we will be back.
Good experience from the start to finish and the food was yum
